So, apparently this Texas RELIEVER just pitched 12 1/3 innings of no hit baseball, and gets a no decision for his efforts tonight.

nothing but loss of sleep and witnessing history I guess...

All I know is...the fla-mia gm started the same time as the tex-bc gm...and I was able to watch that gm...drive home an hour and 10 min and still catch 8 innings of that game....ridiculous.

They need to get rid of the metal bats, but that would cost the schools too much money. As long as they continue with the metal bats college baseball is unwatchable (IMO at least).

"Unwatchable" is a little far.

I do think they need to do away with the metal bats though. Like you said though, so much cash in it for the schools.

FSU's leadoff guy had like a .540 on base percentage and the #2 guy had like a .490 or some shit

metal bats are a joke.

as a pitcher, when i got to college and realized that my 88-90 mph fastball was less then average at that level and i wasn't going to be able to blow by guys like in highschool, i was petrified for my life anytime i got on the hill.

they will never change cause of the business side of things but i hate college baseball cause of the bats

i think im gonna go buy NCAA Baseball 06 to enjoy this shit lol

I was in the same boat. I got BLASTED about 6 inches below my nuts my senior year by a line drive. My inner thigh was black and bruised from my groin to my knee for 5 days.

the worst is when you'd totally get in a guys kitchen and saw them off and they'd still serve one right over the IFs heads.

As far as costs for wood bats, with sponsorships it wouldnt be as much of a big cost hit as you would think for the big D1 programs, its everyone else who couldnt afford it.
