Re: MLB Thread
I thought they had tests that could be turned around in under an hour. I heard they were expensive but the amount of revenue brought in by sports you would think that isn't a reason to not to use them

Don’t be making this a COVID thread up in here!!
Re: MLB Thread
So Soto did 1 test on Tuesday (positive) and now 2 instant tests today that are negative but do not count towards the official tests...so why even do them?

Re: MLB Thread
Apparently 1 player for the Giants didn't kneel, and I'm sure the mob is going to come after him for these comments:
But I'm more interested in the irony of the 1 guy not kneeling and his last name is Coonrod.
I had to check 3 different articles as I assumed it was from the Onion or something. That's pretty darn funny.
Kapler said he had a conversation with Sam Coonrod, the only player on either side who did not take a knee for moment before the anthem. Coonrod told Kapler that "he's a Christian and he only kneels for God. Sam Coonrod reiterated he only kneels for God. Asked about BLM, said: "I can't get on board with a couple things that I read about Black Lives Matter, how they lean towards Marxism and said some negative things about the nuclear family. I can't get on board with that."

Mob mentality...it's all or nothing.
Everyone against kneeling, if you kneel you get the mob.
Everyone realizes BLM is valid, if you don't kneel you get the mob.
If you don't believe what I do, fuck you
If I don't believe what you do, fuck me.

Mariners showed why they haven't been to the post season since 2001. Pitchers line vs the Houston Astros:

Marlins have to cancel their opener tonight due to the COVID spreading through their team. At least 14 players and coaches have tested positive in the past 2 days.

All allegedly stemming from a rain delay where they decided to not social distance and crammed into a dugout together.
Martin got some heat for it but seems it was destined to occur regardless of that.

Re: MLB Thread
I don't get how a league would expect this to work without a bubble. And even the bubble is no guarantee.
But when you're testing everyone so often, we know that so many younger folks are asymptomatic carriers, there's just going to be positive tests, that is unavoidable.
