At the time I thought I had this under control.
Instead, this is how Sheltown's efforts to "catch" Boston have gone:

Should be fun.
It was.
get swept by Boston .....still #2 on the power rankings.
For the 1st time ever, I wish I was out in the NL West.
For now. Take a look. There are 3 pretty strong farm systems there. STC and PO will be battling it out for this division for the next couple years, but their days are numbered.

The AL East was open during his pick and he noped out of that real fast
I wish I was a coward too, then I'd be having way more fun than I am now in the AL East.
Coward is a bit harsh, but whatever

Well that hasn't proven true at all. How many seasons has he had the dominant team? How many titles in that same span?

So now, even though you have always said playoffs are 'different', you're saying the reg season and playoffs are the same?
just clarifying

There's been sub 90 win teams I believe who have recently beat Boston's 120+ win squads in the playoffs.
I would have made the playoffs 3 straight years had I not been in Boston's division. Instead, I am, and I'll miss the playoffs 3 straight years. On what planet is missing the playoffs as fun as making the playoffs?

That's not the same thing at all. A team could not beat him during the regular season, get a WC spot and then beat him in the playoffs, no?

if you read through this page of posts, Nick appears to be supporting both arguments

Tough to do when you go 2-16 vs Boston, while other teams don't have to play them 18 times.

Even if I "lose" this, I'll just claim you were one of the 3 since I didn't name them
