i just had this talk with a buddy of mine who asks me about the NBA... easiest way to understand the Cavs (or Lebron) is to look up team offensive and defensive efficiency numbers. generally speaking 'championship caliber' teams are roughly 10+ from offensive to defensive. the Cavs the last couple years have basically been flat during the regular season, then in the playoffs they play 10+. i've followed this stuff for at least 10 years and i've never really seen a team (really just Lebron) able to do that.
The clue is to look at the offense, they're still offensively elite in the league. the defense is just average at best during the regular season, thats because they are essentially not trying and overly exerting themselves defensively. In the playoffs, they turn the switch and Lebron is superman on D again and they dominate because the offense is already really good.
http://www.espn.com/nba/hollinger/teamstats quick place you can see the spreads and you can look back thru previous years. Also you can get a greater appreciation for how incredible GS has been.

When does age finally catch up though? I don't recall a Lebron team (with him on the court) getting blown out like this during the regular season. Losses come and go but getting absolutely crushed like this is unlike a Lebron team.

CLE lost by 28 or more at least 3 times last season, could be more, I skimmed through real quick.
29 or more at least twice the season before.

Like I said, 1 day it'll be correct and so many will say, "I told you this would be the year" but a large contingent has been saying that every season about Lebron for at least 3 or 4 seasons now.
Last season was hilarious, it was the best chance for Lebron to miss the Finals in 7 years...then he goes 12-1 through the East.

You can never count out a Lebron team in the playoffs. He has an extra gear that others just do not have.

on a scale of 1-100 in terms of importance, i'd say those losses are about a 2
if Lebron's shooting percentages were dropping dramatically or there was a major change in his style of play or a major injury to his usage 2 and usage 3 players then MAYBE i'd be concerned. those losses mean absolutely nothing.
with that said, Toronto and Boston are clearly very good teams, with them both in the +8, +6 ish area. those teams could compete for sure over a 7 game series but ultimately when the games slow down and everything gets crossed out it comes down to one team having Lebron and the others not having him and because of that they'll always have the advantage until he starts to decline... which he hasn't
The western conference is far different story.

ESPN ticket said that Cleveland was 29th in Defensive efficiency this season. Said no team who has finished in the bottom 2 halfway thru the season has never made the playoffs. I am sure they make it though.
The way they have played so far, they may have a first or second round exit

They making it to the eastern conference championship at the very least. Against Boston or Toronto they may have a problem. Against GS I don't think they win 1 in the championship

Honest answer, if Kobe was busting into another team's locker room to go after someone would you call it a bitch move? Or whoever your favorite player is.
If MJ did that 25 years ago we'd still be talking about how bad ass it was. Tell me I'm wrong.

You're way wrong on this one, it was a clown show move.
EDIT: I would be harder on Kobe, I hate that guy.

Paul, Ariza, Harden had some dude go knock on the clippers locker room door while they tried to get into the clips locker room from a different secret side entrance to fight with Austin Rivers and Griffin. It was a bitch move, but it happened to shels beloved Chrissy so he won’t back down and admit it was a bitch made move.

It can be characterized as many negative things, a "bitch move" is literally the last words I'd use to describe it. I don't think it could be more opposite, which is why it's the weirdest word choice you could come up with. But ya know...Packsy and stuff
