There was a stretch where Dave's minor league teams were doing what you just mentioned. Winning minor league titles.

100% honest, non-smartass comment... If you admittedly don't understand the financials, then it's really had to take you seriously when it relates to major conversations concerning the dynamics of the league or in discussions/commentary on trades/personnel. The financial side of this game plays a large role.

I admittedly don't know them as well as you. I was dishonest in saying I don't understand them, because if I really didn't understand them at all, I would be in a $100billion dollar hole.

Glad to help you anyway I can from my perspective as I think this stuff adds a lot of immersion and an extra layer of involvement that we all love.

Especially during downtime such as pre-season/roll over.

I feel like I have a decent handle on them, and the 2 guys who said they don't care to learn them have a title each, so so much for that :(

I guess I shouldn't say I don't care about them, I more just mean they aren't that hard to 'figure out'.

Don't go in debt.

when the league 1st started some of us weren't given the opportunity to choose the size of our stadium.

also payrolls were determined by the salary of players you drafted.

I get that part. There just seems to be more than I am getting. Maybe I am over looking it. Maybe not. I enjoy the game. When I start down the Corey path of financials I start trading away for the future and rebuild. I actually enjoy the rebuilding part. Now I just need to get my prospects to perform and I will be good

I don't like that this is a label!!

I am projected to be in the green for the 2nd year in a row thank you very much and haven't traded away my top prospects in like 4 seasons.

Came close multiple times this season though.

what don't you understand. you have to win a certain amount of games to make sure interest doesn't fall. if interest falls, so does attendance....once your attendance is low your owner kills you on your budget.

something along those lines is what I go by
