Was curious about this the other day when thinking about people wanting a restart. When you guys had the initial draft was it live, lists, or just picked a team that was already drafted

History has been updated.

Fidel had to delete our entire DB again before yesterday's sim since many pages were only half loading.
Then the sim yesterday loaded all our normal pages successfully.
I then did a history upload over the last hour and a half to the website.

All pages on our website should now be working successfully.

The link that Reign posted is working now:

Don't go in debt.

when the league 1st started some of us weren't given the opportunity to choose the size of our stadium.

I could be wrong here... but I'm pretty sure you sat on your ass while winning for quite a few seasons and refused to build your stadium. You had more than enough opportunity to resolve that issue many seasons ago.

While an interesting point... I think that goes more to the fact that there was a time when you could simply suck so long and acquire so much good young talent that it was nearly impossible not to at least be competitive if you didn't trade it away.

agreed ^^ this new era the drafts are showing they will never be the same again. People actually have to understand numbers to have a good team, and explains the lengthy rebuilds for some.

Never tested it specifically... but fairly certain you'd be less profitable than a team with 60k. So you have my blessing, build your 100k stadium.

so honest question. Never upgraded my stadium and I'm right in the middle for size (16 larger, 13 smaller). I always figured that I could just jack up the price of my tickets to get more revenue. Currently set my tickets at $40 a pop and rarely sell out. What would be the benefit of a larger stadium?

if you dont sell out why would you wanna add more seats that will be empty? lol

So he could reduce ticket prices to raise attendance.

some didn't have to 'build'

1.) In my very first season (2017) I asked how the initial stadiums were built... a veteran told me that he believed the original members started with equal stadiums. You were the veteran.

2.) Of the expansion teams that came over, most had stadiums in the 38k-42k range.

3.) During the time that all of this was going on, money was flooding into the league because the financials were a shitshow. People were paying 10m-30m a year just to piss around with player names. Others were pumping 30m a season into internationals or at the early part throwing 10m or more at draft picks. Money was definitely not an issue.

4.) The 65k capacity max that came after 1-2 seasons and stadiums started to grow. You didn't like it (fair enough), but your choice was to attempt to stay small. Meanwhile, this was the prime of your run and you had income flying in left and right. If you had just got on the boat and put more than 1k-2k seats into your tiny park, you could have reaped the rewards for many seasons. As for the 1 stadium that does have 65k... he pays $5.25m a season to average about 35k a game, each season.

With 1 at 65k, the next largest are around 55k (Cincy/LV). Trust me, if I thought that there was a massive financial advantage to go to 65k, I'd have done it. Others around or above 50k include Las Vegas, Detroit, Omaha, New England and Houston.

The way I see it, you cut of your nose to spite your face. You weren't happy with bear (don't blame you) and/or you had a firm belief that baseball stadiums shouldn't be big. The first reason is silly. The second reason is somewhat of a misconception, because while our stadiums are generally bigger, we're not that far out of line. We average around 45k, while MLB has around 43k. In fact, if you back off the ridiculous 65k Cookeville park, our range from small to large is narrower than the MLB. You just happen to have always been at or near the bottom of that range.

In 2017 you had 33,800... today, you have around 36k I believe.

Everyone moved while you sat on your hands.
