Nothing's wrong with our defense, even Jimbos play calling this wont be close. This is a team that has beaten a couple BCS teams in very close games, but those teams are Kansas and Iowa.

It started out as an opportunity to take a dig at Bama, then FSU just kinda worked itself in there

I watched a couple of NIU's games, they came make some plays, but it's a case of being severely out-manned. This is not a team like any of the previous BCS "Busters", nothing about them being in this game makes any sense at all.

NIU lost to Iowa...yeah the 2 wins in conference play iowa. The team they beat that was supposedly the #17 team in the country Kent State lost to KENTUCKY by 30+ points. This little rule would have made sense when Boise was running the table back in the day and it did make sense when Utah got in etc but NIU is not Boise or Utah. The Orange Bowl and Sugar bowl will be absolutely unwatchable. Shit the cotton bowl is a better matchup than most BCS bowls aside from the Title game and the Fiesta. I love the quote from Colin Cowherd on his radio show today.
