i'm not a big Karl Anthony Towns fan for the price they paid for him. i just don't see what he does exceptionally well. he's certainly good and useful and probably going to have a 10-12 year career. i'm just not sure i see what made him a sure fire #1. he's not a freak athlete, he's not HUGE, he's got good range, he's athletic enough. i think his upside is like a Lamarcus Aldridge type player which is a compliment, but i don't see what he could be more than that.
Zach Lavine is going to be a star some day.

Shoots FTs well, can hit long range jumpers, can block shots very well, has a great work ethic, and he's got great post moves. He can get into foul trouble and he needs to not bite on head fakes as much tho

alot of people can do those thins, what can he do exceptionally well.
to me he seems well rounded and has good passing ability for a big. he can shoot from range too. he's certainly nice, i just don't think he's the player to take #1.

He's also only 19....lots of "upside"
Who would you have taken over him? Okafer, who can't shoot FTs and isn't as good of a defender?

No, I understand. I just think when you look at the pool of who was available, you ask "who would you take #1 overall instead?"
Some year's #1 picks are better than others. The pool this year had a lot of talent, but there wasn't really anybody that was "dominant" that everyone was clamoring for.

This is a pretty cool gallery of a variety of NBA pictures.
- And1butmissedFT
- The Paul Pierce email
- The Yahoo Answers email
- The tabs at the top
When I saw it, I thought it would epic, so much to go off of, but it wasn't as good as some of the previous ones.
Spoiler!

Kendrick Perkins to the Pels. Championship!!!!
On a slightly funnier note, a 2nd player has committed to the Mavs, then backed out and signed elsewhere. This one they're probably slightly less upset about though, it's Richard Jefferson.

Guaranteed Lebby talking point tomorrow regarding the decommittments:
"People aren't mad about the act, they're mad about how famous the person who decommitted is. What are you doing there?"
Just got back from the USA Showcase game. Was a lot of fun, basically an all star game. It was the first time I saw Cousins play in person, dude is a bad ass. Looking forward to next season!

Anyone ever heard of the website "Ballstreams"?
Such a terrible, terrible, great name! But it looks like a site that has all NBA games at a cheaper rate(though I'm still trying figure out the exact amount) than League Pass.
I ask as I am definitely planning on getting the League Pass this season, but if this other option seems to be legit, I may try it out. It looks like it also may have an app for the Roku which is key, as I wouldn't get it if I just had to stream it over the internet on my laptop then transfer it to my computer.
