That was my favorite as well.

I also have changed my stance on the vuvuzelas.

At first I agreed that it was part of their culture, and that it would be wrong to take it away. Now, I'm realizing, that THEIR culture is killing the culture of EVERY OTHER NATION THERE! One of the best damn parts of soccer is listening to the crowd's songs and chants (and I know some of the England and Italian ones by heart)....but nobody can do them now. Why would they try? You can't hear anything!

These need to be banned, but they won't be. Blatter is a jerkoff who enjoys wielding his power, and that's what he's doing here.

Wow....they could've swung it into the box, and they just played it short.

What a letdown, I thought we'd have a final moment of drama.

so that group now basically comes down to who can beat the fuck out of North Korea the most unless of course one of them can pull a draw or win over Brazil, correct?

It also comes down to which one of them can stay the closest to Brazil.

Example:
Portugal loses 0-3 to Brazil, beats North Korea 4-1
Ivory Coast loses to Brazil 1-2, beats North Korea 2-0

Both lose and Portugal bitchslaps North Korea by more, but IC has higher goal diff so they'd go through.

so, logically, the first team to play Brazil is going to play extremely conservative.

also, the team that plays Brazil last has the advantage as Brazil would likely already have advanced and would potentially rest players in their final match?

Seems like Ronaldo is the Tim Duncan of soccer, lol.

Shel, I told you--if you want to see Olympic-quality diving, watch Portugal ITALY:D
How can an Italian fan even begin to say this when the dude yesterday went flying without being touched at all? Like it was all over the news too lol.

I'd love to know what "dude" you're talking about. Every time I saw an Italian go down, there was definite contact. Buffon was the only one who went down that could be looked at as a "dive" just from seeing it (the goalie), until you found out he was subbed at halftime due to having issues with his sciatic nerve. He wasn't "diving", he was HURT.

And no, this isn't quite true either.

If Brazil already has 6 points, and then the team they face last beats them, then that team--pending they've beaten NK as well--will then ALSO have six points; and since Brazil lost to that third team, they may end up SECOND in the group. Thus they will have a tougher Round of 16 match and a tougher road.

Man I can not wait for my cruise this weekend. I am going on a five day cruise to Ensinadas and Cabo and when we are in Ensinitas the Mexico game will be on, then on one of our days at sea the U.S. game will be on, then our last day in Cabo the Brazil IC game will be on.

Needless to say I think my safety depends on the Mexico France game on Thursday, Viva la Mexico.

I hope IC gets through the Portuguese team is just one big wet vagina.

No problem, it gets confusing.

What Brazil will likely do, if they have that 6 points, is sit back and counter-attack, as the team they face last will have to go for the win--and when Brazil can sit back and counter, it's quite a show. Nobody springs the counter like they do.

De Rossi? You talking about the foul in the 9th minute? The one many felt should have seen a yellow card?

He had his foot stepped on. I'd say that's being "touched". Other than that, there was the foul on Montilivo in the 1st minute where he took studs to the leg.

If it was someone else, I didn't see it, so I can't comment on it. If you find it, let me know--if it was a dive, I'll say it was a dive. I just am not sure what player you're talking about, or what instance.

Fuck Matt, I'm not losing that job, LOL.

I didn't literally mean turn it off, just tell a certain someone it'll be turned off, meanwhile you're texting me pics of sexy 19 year old Latinas.

Or sexy 19 year old drunk co-eds, lol.

Does anyone else here besides myself really enjoy all the soccer announcers? They are funny, witty, quick with the nicknames like when NZ scored the equalizer "All White is all right, with New Zealand." Plus their accents are friggin great.
