Had my first OH SHIT! tornado moment moving to the great plains of Texas.

Was awoken by the tornado sirens at 7am yesterday morning. Absolutely scared the shit out of me. The dummy I am (as Shel can attest by how we drove around during a hurricane to "see stuff") runs to the window to look.

I've never seen clouds like that as they were low as hell and this weird tint of greenish gray. Luckily it was a very short one and I wasnt in the path.

I do not like that sound.

Oh look, trees and power lines are down, middle of a hurricane and we're drunk...can't think of a better time for us to drive around and survey the damage!!!

Dang, I saw footage this morning and the first thing I thought was, "I wonder if that is near Cnasty?" Glad all is well.

Definitely a weird feeling hearing those sirens and it was eerily silent in the apartment complex and when I went outside. Kind of like during the eye of the hurricane where it gets calm right before the next wave hits.

dole and I are there every year. I'm definitely in. I need to check the boards more often, damn adulthood.
