Yes, but kicking a "field goal" with a full run up is a lot different from just kicking it with a normal run

Those are the relevant questions, Kickoffs are not relevant.
It was a free kick. No rush. Held like a FG, and he could run up to it like a kickoff. Kickoffs are very relevant, as it was basically a kickoff without the tee. Pay attention.
I didn't even watch it
What the hell is a free kick? Lol. In that case, I'm with you. And I'm going away now.
I knew you weren't even watching or I wouldn't have been a dick about it
A free kick is exactly what I explained. It's one of those crazy ass rules in the rule book. I only know what it is because Phil brought it up when we were bored at walk through once last year (which, I'm guessing is why they tried it, unless Harbaugh knew).
The game announcers brought it up as soon as the guy made the fair catch and I was like huh???

Dude (Phil) has some badass onside kicks too. He's just been around so long that he knows all the random factoids and has been bored so many times at practice that he has just made shit up. 49ers won't really need them ever, but he has some sweet ones in his repertoire.

Never thought I'd see the day where you'd stick yourself so far into something that even you couldn't come out with at least a draw...

You're still gonna finish last in the division

TTFN Josh Freeman. How much of a cap hit will that be to the Bucs?

The team tried to trade the quarterback but was unable to find a taker. By releasing Freeman, the Buccaneers are obligated to pay the quarterback all $6.2 million he was owed in remaining salary this season.
Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik contacted all 31 of the NFL's other teams in an attempt to trade Freeman, sources said.

Oakland and Minnesota should be faxing his agent a contract offer right now.
And maybe Jacksonville, if they didn't delusionally believe they should still be working on Gabbert.

josh freeman is a cokehead, why would anyone want a QB like that? especially when they can tank and take one of the 7 or so quality QBs in this draft?

I didn't see anything on ESPN about coke. Thought he was ADHD or something.

Chud finally starts turning things around in Cleveland and now their QB tears his ACL.
That team is cursed I tell ya!
Run Dan, run!
