Omaha is locked down for 72 hours. Nobody is going to pay it any mind as people need groceries and need to go to work.
School is out till April 30th as well

On a bright note, got shit paper at the 4th place I went to today. Limit one 6 pack per customer. As well as limiting one carton of eggs and 1lb of beef. Anyone with a family of 3 or more (one being an 18 year old boy) knows one pound doesn't go far.

According to stock sales disclosures by Senators after a closed door briefing on January 24 about the Coronavirus threat, the following senators sold stocks:
Senator Richard Burr
Senator Kelly Loefner
Senator Dianne Feinstein,
Senator Ron Johnson
Senator Jim Inhofe
even in a time of crisis your higher ups are corrupt as fuck.

How is that corrupt? It may be a smart financial decision? I am sure people here sold if they had stocks to reinvest when this finally hits the bottom.
I'm sure they were getting the same information as we were getting from the news. It was not like it was insider trade information.
Dave could probably talk about how ethical this is, but I see nothing wrong with it.

The guy that sees a conspiracy in a news photo can't see the problem in getting inside information and selling stocks. Is a closed door government briefing public information?

That is pretty amazing.g
My first thought is, are all those senators Republicans?

246 new case jump since yesterday in the US.
But a 2nd straight day where the percentage increase is low comparably to the past couple of weeks.
Wait till we actually have tests to administer.
Our numbers will jump up significantly.

Very true, but then the mortality rate will plummet. And the mortality rate is the real reason this virus has us taking so much more precautions than any other, I'm sure.

You're in Nebraska or something right? You mean to tell me that you don't have local butchers out there? Meat (beef/pork) is about the least of my concerns.

to say 'xyz sold stock on x date so they are corrupt' is
they very well could have been using that information to sell stock and been bordering on corrupt (although i'm almost positive they can use that information, not 100% but i know they get some weird liberties on information they get access to)
or they could have been on stock selling programs created months in advance that happened to line up with the dates of those meetings which makes it look especially fishy but in reality isn't. programs like that are very normal for politicians to try to keep them away from situations which look criminal.
without the context you have no way of knowing and this is how rumors/false information gets passed around.
