Being a Bronco fan, Hillis getting traded to Cleveland for Brady Quinn, will be a lasting memory of the Mcdaniels ERA. He still runs the same way now as he did when he was in Denver but for whatever reason Mcdaniels never gave him the chance.

If not for fantasy, I never would have known Hillis was even on Denver at the time. Have you guys seen Blount in Tampa Bay? It is hilarious watching NFL defenders look like rag dolls.

I have seen him actually jump over a couple of guys this year.

I usually can't stand to listen to Steve Young's analysis, but I gotta give him props for just pointing out here on Monday Night Countdown that Drew Brees doesn't get the excellent protection that Tom Brady does. :D

Which, in turn, could have been created by Tom Brady himself. Blitzing Brady is useless.

Cause Brees isn't known for his pocket presence?

And I do believe last year they constantly showed Brees's passing stats against blitzes and they were phenomenal, so...

i like watching Brees as much as anyone in the league not named Peyton Manning.

he just seems like he is so well prepared each game. 3rd and 10 just now, falcons have dudes showing blitz everywhere, he calmly tells Reggie Bush who his responsibility is as the playclock is close to zero and sure enough that guy flys thru untouched... Brees side steps, gives Bush a chance to get a block on and steps up in the pocket and burries a 15 yard in.

shit like that is awesome to watch

My favorite is when Brees throws interceptions, of which he has done twice, giving him 21 ... topped only by my other favorite QB Eli Manning.

Wow. What an awesome, awesome game.

Both defenses played great. The Saints D was just outstanding.

Wasn't I just complaining this afternoon about the saints pass protection? And this was there worst effort of the season. Breed did a great job of avoiding guys coming in untouched so many times until the one awful decision he made that almost proved costly.

Trendon, I assume u watched the game tonight. I have an honest question and hope u can give me an unbiased answer. I know u watch basically all Pats games. When was the last time u saw Brady have pass protection as bad as the saints did tonight? To make it easy, your answer should be in years, not games lol.

Rarely. Again, the name on the back of the jersey creates that as much as his offensive linemen do.

Your just showing your "Moss for Jared Allen" bias if u truly believe that statement.

How many times a game does Brady get to just stand flat footed in the pocket forever and throw a ball? Brees wasn't afforded that luxury probably not even once all night and not mch all year.

Bradyhas great pocket presence obviously, buy u can't possibly unbiasedly believe that statement u made lol.

if im not too high ill record from the snap to ball release on pass plays for both of them in their first playoff matchup and we will see. I wont count quick passes naturally

While that is pretty cool nick, it's not that simple.

Avoiding an untouched LB, then running around, and heading toward the sideline before throwing a ball away is a different 5 or so seconds then standing flat footed and maybe slightly moving 2 or 3 steps to one side while still remaining in the pocket for 5 seconds c
