I just think the false narrative that he was just out jogging by the media stokes the fire of racial bias in cases like this and it's unfortunate. Not everything is racially charged, but the media needs it to be.

Based on the new videos out, it's pretty obvious he wasn't out just for his normal run.

There's video of him trespassing on the construction site right before the confrontation, so it does seem that the Dad/son combo were out to confront him over that.


Changes the story some, sure. But for me, they still murdered the dude. You can't be tracking a person down with weapons out then claim self defense when that person tries to protect himself, that just doesn't make any sense.

Supposedly they called the cops saying they were going to make a citizen arrest, father was a police officer (retired maybe?). If that is true and then when they confronted him, which they shouldn't have, he lunged and we all know what happened after that. If that is the sequence, it's not murder

You take one small piece and want to turn it into something else. The media, and his family, says he was an avid jogger and that is all he was doing. Now new evidence comes out, trespassing and multiple phone calls to 911, bet the media don't say he was just jogging now or that he was an avid jogger.

If George saw that kids that did it, then grabbed his son, and him and his son tracked the kids down while also having a 2nd car with another friend tracking them down and did so with guns out, I just don't see how you can blame someone for trying to protect themselves from the dudes following you around with guns out.

The two guys made a dumb ass mistake by trying to arrest the guy. They could have easily just followed behind him a couple hundred feet back and just report to the cops his whereabouts.

You can't be that dumb can you? As much as you like to stay up to date an American news this one should be pretty easy for you. It wasn't a random act of violence like the media wanted to portray in the beginning. These two guys fucked up and killed a guy, but it wasn't because he was some black guy running in their neighborhood.

100% of my post was that the media wanted to push a narrative that he was a black jogger killed by 2 white men for no reason.

If you don't understand the implications of false narratives in the news, especially false ones that bring out primal fear/hatred among people based on skin color then I really don't know what to tell you. Think of all the businesses that could have been saved in Ferguson had the media not stoke that racial fire with the embers burning for a long time there.

Here are some headlines or paragraphs in the news over the past couple of days:

From 5 days ago:

Ahmaud Arbery, who is black, was unarmed and exercising when he was shot and killed by two white men while jogging back on February 23 in Glynn County, Georgia.

From 2 days ago:

To honor his life and demand justice for his death, runners across the country, including in Kalamazoo, gathered to do what Arbery was doing moments before he was shot.

From 1 day ago:

Ahmaud Arbery was fatally shot by father and son Gregory and Travis McMichael while out jogging in Brunswick on February 23

Now if the news could do some investigative work they would have known that he wasn't out jogging, as you can see in the video from him walking into the construction site. There is so much ring/arlo video out there they could have easily debunked the idea that this was just 2 white guys killing a black jogger. That is the problem with this whole story from the beginning.

Once again, let's twist it to something it's not. It's the false narrative the media likes to play to continue this us versus them mentality. Let me say it again, these two guys (and possibly a 3rd who was video taping) truly fucked up and it will most likely cost them years in jail if they don't get off on stand your ground somehow. That was not the premise behind my post, it was always the false narrative that this was a modern day lynching.

As far as my fence, if I caught them doing it (actually thru my fence and in my yard). I am putting an ass whipping on them, I'm not going to kill them. I don't care if they are 12 or 50. I would happily go to jail for it.
