I agree they shouldnt be punished and should be rewarded one home game but you cant punish a division winner either in that case.

How they reward them that home game without taking away from a division winner, I have no idea.

You roped me in as I dont have a dog in the fight, dont care that much about the NFL, and actually like the Saints but its a very slow day at work. Congrats.

Nothing? They'd get to enjoy being a 6th seed despite having the 8th or 9th best record. That is plenty of reward.

Agree to disagree, lol. You see it as being punished, but I still see it as a reward since they aren't a top 6 team but still get to the playoffs.

The NBA does it, I believe.

the reward is them making the playoffs even tho they might not be a top 6 team.

UConn doesn't deserve to be a BCS game the same way that the Rams don't deserve to be hosting a playoff game. they are teams taking advantage of the system. not anyones fault, but it doesn't make it right.

Their reward is being in the Playoffs. Its not, lets say the Saints because thats who were ultimately talking about, fault that that the West if weak either, so why should they be punished by having to travel.

Their reward is winning their division and being able to host a playoff game for accomplishing that.

Does their record suck, absolutely. Would they be in the playoffs if they didnt win their division? Hell no.

I understand your guys view but "exploiting" the system is not what they are doing, they are playing by what the system has created being the NFL.

If they change it, awesome but there still needs to be a higher reward for winning your division and I think having at least one home game attached to that is appropriate.

Im the minority here, cue the little black boy!!!!

I know they are playing by the system and thats all I'm saying is the system sucks except for the Rams or Seahawks, they like it. The Colts are probably going to get to host a playoff game the same way in the AFC. Not saying the AFC South sucks, but they will be hosting a team with a better record.

it hasn't been much of an issue until this year. it's happened in the past. it's happening in the afc. all everyone wants to talk about is the saints getting jobbed by the lousy nfc west. aside from the saints love, it's really only an issue because the west has been as bad as it is. it's an anomaly of sorts.

when did the nba start reseeding if you didn't win the division? i know the hawks got the benefit of it last year because the celtics ended up as the 4 even though they were the division winners by virtue of the hawks having the third best record. it hasn't always been like that, has it?

Not sure about the NBA, but your right its usually not a big deal because usually someone would have run away with that division at 11-5 or 10-6 at worse so it wouldn't look as bad and no one would really talk about it. Thats probably what it is their division is just so strong top to bottom that no one can have a great record because they are beating up on each other, LOL

nba changed it in 2006. many are wanting to see the nba do as the nfl does with regards to not having a set bracket, guaranteeing, as the nfl does, that the best seeds will face the lowest seeds.

Pro Bowl team announced:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8 ... ule=HP_cp2

Aaron Rodgers should be #2, ahead of Ryan and Brees. Silly that he is left off the Pro Bowl roster.

And Cassel's snub gotta be the biggest snub of the year. Damn.

I'm not saying he deserved to go over the other WRs this year, but Marques Colston may have the best 5 years of production to ever NOT make a Pro Bowl...or at least the best I can think of, lol. If his 98 catch/1200 yards/11 TD 2nd season wasn't good enough(which was ridiculous), then I don't know if he'll ever make it.

Drew Brees has still yet to have a RB/WR/TE make a Pro Bowl since he's been in New Orleans. Kind of an odd stat.

how does a team like dallas have 5 probowlers and 4 starters while Tampa has none.

Basically its a popularity contest, and Dallas has more fans than Tampa. Not sure about that with Brees though that is weird.
