While both teams have great defense, the officials took "let them play" to an extreme today. Both teams were getting away with just about whatever they wanted...which is odd, because Karl Hess was the lead official, and he loves to make the game about himself.
Btw, Chris Jones.....
Even Arjen Robben and Luis Suarez were like "really dude? C'mon, get up". He did that at least three times in the game (acted like he got elbowed and he didn't), but that one was by far the worst. The best part was him rubbing his jaw a few minutes later, still trying to sell it

Anyone see this story about the 3 Oregon basketball players that allegedly sexually assaulted a girl, but now the girl is sueing the university and the basketball coach?
Unless I'm missing key points that I don't think were covered in the article, he's basically being sued because they say he knew one of the players was previously accused of sexual assault when he was in high school? They make it sound like that's the main premise of the lawsuit which seems completely absurd.
The University of Oregon and men's basketball coach Dana Altman were sued Thursday afternoon by the alleged victim of a March sexual assault involving three former Ducks basketball players in a suit that says, in part, that Altman was fully aware that one of the players, Brandon Austin, had been suspended from his former college because of another sexual assault accusation.
The 18-page civil complaint was filed in U.S. District Court in Eugene by attorneys John Clune of Boulder, Colo., and Jennifer Middleton of Eugene, on behalf of the alleged victim, who they say "suffered damages and injuries as a result of the UO's violations of Title IX."
The alleged victim is a current UO student who is listed as Jane Doe. Her Title IX rights were violated, the suit says, because of what it calls Oregon's "deliberate indifference" to the safety of its students by recruiting a player with a history such as Austin's.

Kentucky needs to go ahead and finish off one of these choke jobs. The people are demanding a #1 that they can be proud of and that team is not Kentucky.

Boy was I wrong. Tulsa took it to UCONN and were up by 16 with about 7 to go in the second half. UConn brought it down to 6 but TU pulled away in the end. Tulsa now leads the AAC with a 4-0 Conference record.

Getting excited for one of my favorite weekends of the year... the annual Flyin' to the Hoop basketball invitational runs Fri-Mon.
I know that I'm definitely going to make the last 3 games on Saturday night, which includes Prolific Prep. They have one of the best juniors in the country, Josh Jackson, to go along with their normal cast of solid players. I'm going to try to free up my schedule for Monday, so I can catch Balboa HS out of California and Findlay Prep from Nevada. DeAndre Ayton for Balboa is probably the top sophomore nationally. He's something like 6'11" 230, which is hard to believe for a 16yr old. Findlay Prep has been insane the last 4-5 years, with tons of players like Tristan Thompson, DeAndre Liggins, Nick Johnson and Anthony Bennett. I'm sure they've got a quality team as usual.

my seats are directly behind that kids. those are court seats and i have front row. i never go to the games but the few i've been at he's there and he's certainly got the entitled rich kid aura about him. his dad (or i presume is his dad) is there every game with him too.

Looks like the Dad is trash talking the player too.
If that's my kid, I'm probably smacking him in the head before the player would even have a chance to get his fair shot at him.

Pretty sad. One of the all-time great.
In a bit of a dick move statement, ESPN is going to be covering every angle of this for the next 48 hours. It's a slow sports news week. brace yourselves.
