I will be laying out Season 3 of the NDL Country Club over the next couple days
only changes i will probably make for now for Season 3:
- the lie plays a factor
- no blue line
- and it wont pick the right club for you
ie- you hit into the bunker and it says 75%-80% for your like and its 20 yards to the hole. the game will give you a lob wedge that at 100% gets you to the hole. due to the lie 'penalty' you'll need to club up. and hit a 24-25 yards club. With the new settings, you'll have to make that determination.
easy to get used to and brings a tad more 'randomness' to the game

Are you sticking w the power meter thing? I think that’s a big one you should consider removing. Especially for putting
we will probably stick with what i posted and then if there is a Season 4 we can keep stripping things away like you suggest.
its pretty laid back and designed for guys who want to play a few rounds mindlessly, so we will use baby steps
I love the 4 round majors, but just two days to get four rounds in, especially in the middle of the week, is too much. If I get busy and can't play one night, I can't play 4 rounds in one night, unless it's a weekend and I'm just up drinking anyways, then I'll play 6 like I did last Friday night lol

Gonna need to have 4 round tournaments with 24hr advances then... maybe if he is sloshed every night of the week I'll be able to keep up!
I had more triple bogeys in 18 holes than I did all of last season. Also had more double bogeys in the whole tournament than I did all last season. Hitting a drive and just getting onto the fringe off the fairway and then I lose 20 yards on my next shot when I hit at 100% and perfect and come up way short into the bunker is just stupid. Oh well, we'll figure it out
Wait, is this not normally how it was set up? I really don't know the difference. I just loaded up the game, went to that beer league thing and threw those settings on. Seems normal to me. Now I don't feel so bad, haha!

Agree, but I've never had that much of a mentally being on the fringe of a fairway (not the rough) when playing golf for real
I should just retire at this point... I shot my best round that I've played on this game and that's with a double body on 6th (leaked off of the back of the green, down the big hill). I was out of my mind putting... something like 9/10 from 8'-25'. -7 29 on the back nine, including a bogey on 11. This is the PGA equivalent of peaking in HS... it's all downhill from here.

Yeah if you've been playing with beer league settings then this shouldn't be much different, if at all. I'm going to go down now and get a round in and see what we've got.

Yeah, someone made the comment here to just rip the bandaid off and start with a hard setting, so going straight to beer league made sense to me.
