Re: Random Discussions
In Hawaii I was in Military Intelligence (doing High Frequency Direction Finding) and worked under a pineapple field. We had to walk over a 1/4 mile underground to get to work. My father in law is a real conspiracy theorist and thinks the government knows a lot more and keeping it from us. I told him that we actually kept aliens where we worked and studied them instead of the real work we actually did.nick wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 12:58 am https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ufo-milita ... 021-05-16/
spill the beans George and Billy.
When I was learning the last UAV that I flew in Syria we went to Mercury Nevada and trained at Area 12 or 21. We flew towards Area 51 but never got within 10 miles of it.
I am sure we are not the only ones out here. How intelligent or advanced they are, who knows. If they are more advanced than us, I hope they are a peace loving people.

Riccio, I almost text you but it's late for you Dad, so I'll just post here.
Your I-95 is fucking nuts down here. From Boca to Miami, it's an hour straight of the most relentless, furious, free-for-all fucking driving I've ever seen. It's five lanes of 90 mph fury for an hour. I'm impressed. Even I was shook.
From Boca to Ft. Lauderdale is like the warmup but after that? Holy fuck! I was getting passed by half the cars and I was doing ninety. My 95 up in NY? Parking lot.

Also, I think I now owe Florida like $200 because I didn't realize what the left two lanes were for as I was just told.
Re: Random Discussions
its the wild west. if you get pulled over for speeding on the highways down here someone is out to get you.
there is also at least a 1% chance you're getting shot too if you engage in any type of road rage... where as up north a good honk and FU was almost considered a right of passage

I rented a car visiting my brother in Texas. Accident on the freeway caused a backup, so I hopped on their "express lane" for about 10 minutes. $30.

Going from I95 back home to the highways of North Texas was the most seamless transition in my race car career.

Re: Random Discussions
I'm with Trendon on this... 2-3 years ago we drove from Ft. Lauderdale to Port St. Lucie and that drive was awesome. It's everything that I'd want I70/I75 to be in Ohio. We picked up the rental at the airport (incredibly weird setup btw) and I believe the GPS said it was a 90min drive... I'm pretty sure we did it in 20-30 less. It wasn't just the fact that it was 85-95 most of the way, but it wasn't exactly light traffic either. I don't recall running into the dumbasses doing 65 in the left lane. Need more highways like this!trendon wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 11:28 pm Riccio, I almost text you but it's late for you Dad, so I'll just post here.

Re: Random Discussions
sad day for the Riccio's. Shea Shea is in doggy heaven.
most of you guys probably remember her for her most masterful day as a pup when she ate all of AJ's crap and pissed on the rest.
she was a blessing and i'm forever grateful. she was around basically as long as we've been around as a group... crazy.
big hugs to everyone

I only got to meet Shea once, good Doggo.
Sorry to hear that. Pretty amazing though, feels like I've been hearing Shea stories for 20 years... probably cause I have for at least the better part of 20 years.

Re: Random Discussions
The shittiest part is the fog you go through for a week+ where you just hate it. Nothing anyone says will make it feel better you just gotta deal. Me personally I can’t listen to certain songs or I’ll remember Coco and she’s been gone 5 years. Pepe been gone 10. Peanut (we didn’t get along) is why I quit Lowe’s. It’ll never not hurt but you’ll get to the point where the memories won’t hurt you to think about and you can appreciate the wreckless, amazing life the doggos lived and happiness they gave u.
Then you cry and think you can’t love another dog like your last one... then you get a little shit named Cuddles and you prep for the heartbreak again.
Dogs are the best. Fuck Cats and sorry I had to have a little moment there too.
