My concern about all of this is the fact that you can insert yourself anywhere, bring a gun, if shit gets real you can kill another human being "in self defense" and be acquitted because a stupid prosecution team cant figure out the correct crime to charge a person with. And dont pretend that the color of this kids skin didnt have anything to do with it.

The setting doesn't matter, what people seem to continue to ignore is ever one this dude shot was legitimately attacking him.

Why are we placing zero focus on that?

Unfortunately, politics got involved with this case. The left found him guilty without looking at any facts. And it's obvious because they spew lies all the time with the facts

You say this, but how do you reconcile with the fact that 100s of people who did not attack him did not get shot by him, and 3 people who attacked him got shot by him.

Yiure insinuating he was randomly shooting at people, when he only shot at people clearly attacking him.

You also aren't realizing that one of the dudes he shot actually had a gun, and again, was going towards him. Should he had just hoped for the best, and just assumed the guy attacking him with the gun was going to play nice and not shoot him?

No difference, ignore all people on the left and ignore all people on the right

Those folks that don't care about that shit, I'm confident in saying the vast majority of those folks realize this was self defense and certainly not 1st degree murder

I don't Twitter so no clue what's going on.

My point was if you watched MSNBC or CNN they kept up the argument he was guilty throughout the trial. The people that only get their news from those locations are the maddest about the outcome of the trial, because they aren't being told the facts. I hear from my lefty friends and family here say his mom took him, he took a gun across state lines, the 3 shot weren't bad people and weren't attacking him, he's akin to a school shooter..... All those lies were told on those two networks. That's why I said politics played a role in everyone's idea of if he was guilty or not

1.) He's legally allowed to be there.
2.) He's legally allowed to have the gun.
3.) In each scenario, he is being attacked.
4.) He's has the right to defend himself from said attacks.

As terrible as the legal prosecution was, their witnesses sure as hell didn't do them any favors either.

It'll be interesting to see if a social justice group steps forward to help push a civil case with the relatives of the attackers. Different standard of proof and qualifications for evidence. They can get into gray areas such as "why" someone is there and what their motive "could have been" prior to showing up to the event. Because the line is lower, you can make some big leaps as to intent. You'd hear about his Proud Boys comments, etc. Of course, I believe that also opens up the ability to bring in similar background on the attackers, which, as we know, isn't exactly honorable. It would make for a real shitshow of a trial.

imagine living in a country where you're legally allowed to walk down a random street when you're not from there with a gun

...and speaking of civil suits...

A lot of talking heads are pushing the idea of Rittenhouse going after CNN/MSNBC and others. I'm not sure how that would play out, because that was based on cut-up footage. I don't really recall either outlet being blatantly deceptive with their footage. They just ran with the full on narrative that he was the aggressor.

Rittenhouse is American, I'm pretty certain of that.

Sometimes I wonder if Nick wakes up smoking stuff that is laced with shit.

How many times does it have to be pointed out that his father lives there and he worked there that summer. So why isn't he allowed to be on some random street where he has family and where he is paying taxes? Once again you need to learn the facts

Your peabrains are missing the point about walking around with a gun like thats normal. Its normal in the USA and 3rd world countries... not many other places.

Canada doesnt.. England doesnt.. Australia doesn't.. Italy doesnt.. Any civilized country in the world doesn't..

Kyle went as a "medic" with an AR15   thats Wisconsin and like Adghanistan.

I live it every day. I took the classes and got my permit to conceal carry. I have that 9mm on me wherever I go, as long as I'm not drinking, and as long as the businesses I may enter also permit it. Why do I carry you ask? Because the bigger question is, why would someone randomly come up to me and try to harm me or my wife? Or why would someone try to break into my car at a stop light? I think that's a bigger question than why I choose to exercise my constitutional right to bear arms. I never want to fire that weapon for anything other than practice. You just can't predict what others are going to do.

As for going across state lines. I am also permitted to carry my weapon into other states as long as that state also recognizes my conceal carry permit. When we go to visit my wifes family in Illinois, we take our guns apart in the car before we cross from Indiana into Illinois, then reassemble them when we travel back.

So yeah, if I go to North Carolina, (where I'm not from), I will be carrying.
