The only reason we have "Assistant Department Managers" is because we have a few mixed departments as a result of company policy needing ~100 people to form a "department".

We merged Dynamics with Controls to create our department. Whatever group the DM comes from, the ADM comes from the other. They both do very similar things but the ADM gets to relinquish some responsibilities to the DM since the ADM often also works a program job as part of their assignment. So when I was ADM I was also working JWST. Now, I'll be full time DM.

So something odd just got proposed to me today.

I was asked to be a substitute teacher for the JROTC program at my old high school. This was something I looked into when I retired but there were no open positions in the Omaha area during that time so I moved on to contractor work instead. According to Bama, the pay is a hell of a lot more than what subs get in Tennessee ($185 a day).

Here is where I step away from the Republican rhetoric regarding this.

I don't mind this at all, with some stipulations. They should definitely have drug counselors, medical and security at these locations. You get a free crack pipe (or whatever else they are handing out) if you go thru a class to help you kick the addiction. If this is the only way to get addicts "in the door" for possible help and to put them on a path of recovery I am all for it.

Of course Biden's crew is out in front of it saying they won't be handing out crack pipes...

"Psaki said the safe smoking kits being distributed as part of a $30 million harm reduction program might include materials such as alcohol swabs, lip balm, clean syringes and other materials intended to promote hygiene and reduce the risk of spreading diseases such as HIV and hepatitis."

The 75 document only refers to the "safe smoking kit" 3 times and never details what is in it (also, the full funding covers way more than just these kits).

However, a quick search on "safe smoking kits" gives me this:

Psaki definitely mentions numerous things in this kit, but fails to mention the very obvious crack pipe.
