I feel dumb cause I don't know what you mean by a blinking flag. I am unaware of the concept so please enlighten me.

easiest free kill. if you wait like 5 seconds u can get 2 or 3 cause they all run over to helpHoos wrote:1. Throw C4 on Flag

4. Laugh
I thought it was fairly obvious. Now, what kills me is when there is no announcement that we're losing a flag, because constantly watching the flag symbols isn't conducive to staying alive. I still haven't figured out the trick for that. Maybe if you call a UAV (or anything) and then immediately get on the enemy flag they only hear the announcement that there is a UAV up, and the fact that you're getting their flag doesn't get broadcast? We should test this out.ajalves wrote:sixpackdan101 wrote:I think it is a small percentage of players that actually know about this....I didnt know about it on Call of Duty 4 until i started playing with you guys.BFiVL wrote: He could get away with that if he can see the blinking flag. thank you DAN!!!!!!! thank you.....the problem was the way you were describing it.....i was looking at the flag locations on my little map in the corner of my screen, you meant the other ones. or vice versa, i can remember.....
it is, but when I 1st started playing COD4 I had never played an online shooting game before....dakshdar wrote: I thought it was fairly obvious.

We use to do that in COD 4 before we realized the blinking flag. We would hop on 2 flags at the same time and only one would be announced that it was being captured. We thought we were being slick.dakshdar wrote:I thought it was fairly obvious. In domination, when you have a flagged captured it is green. If its red, the other team has it. if its gray no one does. We know this much.
When someone gets on a green flag from the other team as they are trying to capture it from you, it will blink ( or fade in and out) on the screen ( not on the map in the right corner). Same goes for your team, if a red flag is blinking, that means someone from your team in capturing the flag. If the flag is not occupied ( its gray), it will only blink if your team is on it.
Same for HQ, it will blink if your team is capturing the HQ. It will turn green when captured. Once they get on the HQ to destory, it will blink.
It will not blink if they are on it capturing it.
Shit, yeah. The list of things sound will do in this game is unending.BFiVL wrote:Uuaww wrote:Frankie7512 wrote:Yeah you might find it real rough with MW2 multiplayer with no sound.ajalves wrote:how can you play games with no sound? dumb
I've been playing games without sound for years now. I usually mute them and put music on instead. My ps3 sound hasn't worked for 6 months or so, so I don't know why MW2 online would need sound? I seem to suck at FPS games regardless haha.
Footsteps behind you, clinking of a nade or the beeping of a semtex, sound of a stealth strike coming, if a counter UAV is up and they throw anything in the air like a harrier or plane, you would need to hear it. If an AC130 is in the air, you need to know if the missile is going to hit you cause as its coming down you can hear it. Thats off the top of my head.

Most times, though, it just delays it.ajalves wrote:dakshdar wrote: I still haven't figured out the trick for that. i think any other type of announcement masks the one that is supposed to be made when you're losing one.

Sound is crucial in this game. I can't begin to tell you how many bombs I've planted in S&D with one minute remaining as the musical warning blares for everyone to hear.
Yeah, but the scope of work is so much that I've been playing Warcraft instead.shel311 wrote:trendon wrote:Most times, though, it just delays it.ajalves wrote:dakshdar wrote: I still haven't figured out the trick for that. Is the OOTP still alive there Tren?
If people just listened to me, we wouldn't have had this problem in the first place.shel311 wrote:Thank God for the restart.
