Well, who is/are the dick(s) that started it? I only noticed it late into my first season there. There was no motive then. In fact, I was often receiving 10-20 votes.

People are allowed to vote how you want and people who complain about how others vote are lame
I don't have an issue.. I just answered nicks question on why week 1 votes could be just as important as week 8 votes. For the most part people will always accurately vote the top 5 to 10 with the least disparity among all coaches. It is everything after that varies.. Which frankly in the greater scheme of things really doesn't matter. Because your ranking doesn't play any role in bowl selection after the BCS bowls. So I couldn't care less really. The only thing that any voting placement benefits after the top 10, is the few points you may gain here or there for upsetting a ranked team. Which helps at times if you come up a little shy on win goals, or a loss a rival game and need a little help with a few extra points to help meet your point goal after CRs and Participation. Since season success only plays a factor really in keeping a b+ team or better for a 1st year coach or a coach who has already used their bank.

Lol you actually didn't get any in the pre-season poll. Holmey said it was the first time in awhile.

I still think it happened from the lazy people that used to just vote by the beginning of the alphabet, so their first 5-8 teams were all the teams beginning with A, and so on

I just don't understand how people have the combination of walker and USC ranked outside of the top 5.
