This year, even though it works better, I find myself playing simple cover 2 man much less, because especially with a good team, I feel like it's just too good for the most part.
yeah i find myself doing the same, which sucks but is what it is......

Can anyone run cover 3 zone. I get burned every time I run it. Got to where I don't call it and if I do I'm wincing like an auburn running back when he sees Bama on the schedule while calling it. As far as calling cover 2, I use it maybe 5 times a game.

This series is fucked IMO. Even when the game is "better" which it is this year it still has serious issues. On offense the play calling is limited due to the man defense and then when you play call on defense guilt sets in if you use to much man so it's wise to call some zones which usually lead to the defense being shred. And it all spirals....the passing game is limited so people are running the crap out of the ball.
If the man defense were slightly decreased so that the cb wasn't running the in route before my wr does that'd be a real treat.
And then the tuning sets are a nice step however NHL 10 also had the tuning sets and those sets would address game play issues while all we get are dynasty fixes and a decrease in ability for dlineman to swat balls.
Sigh.....
If it were not for the NDL I would not be playing this game. The NDL, for me, is ncaa football.

I played a guy in the farm that ran C2 man all game, only varied formations. It didn't matter down/distance. Needless to say, I don't think we'll be seeing him in the NDL. I understand that C2 Man is the 'safe' and 'most effective' play, but then we go into the whole 'moderation' thing. If a coach can't find a way to work in some blitzes and zone, then this probably isn't the place for them. Try East Room, I hear the games are good there.

The worst thing about the NDL is what this thread turned into.
Buncha whining about gameplay aspects. If you want 100 percent real football...go play real football. It's a VIDEO GAME.
