I am totally against publically begging for your favorite team. That goes against what the NDL draft stands for. You earn your spot in the draft and should be able to draft hooever you want, guilt free.

Nothing personal but that is my stance.

I would really want you to get them if anyone else could and I mean that. So to everyone else picking before DC7, the Gophers have the worst QB in the league, receivers couldn't catch a cold in December and the defense couldn't tackle a tackling dummy.

You're right, admin you should lock this thread. Didn't think about the guilt factor... Just got excited because I never have a season like last season but you're right this is going against the NDL and what it stands for.

I, also, am just speaking for myself. Other admins may/do feel differently. My opinion may be far from how the others feel. I will leave this thread in their hands.

You're exactly right though, I am fortunate to have the highest pick and I'll have an opportunity at a higher team if I want them which I've never had so if fate happens to work out then I'll get the team I want, if not I'll still have fun playing the game with some other team.

I appreciate your comments and bringing me back to reality and what the NDL stands for in regards to the realism aspect of the draft.

No one is going to give a Quack by picking Oregon. I am going to put them #2 on my list, so if #1 goes I am Quacking!

I could see someone in the top 5 getting one of their favorite teams, but once you get out of the top 10....its a free for all. If Oregon was 1st on my list (which i have no interest...I don't think ha)....I would let them slide if someone was one spot behind me, but if someone was 10 spots I would be afraid someone else would just take them instead. That was rambling and not sure it made sense, but it does to me.

Just take a D+ this season Quack. Win a couple games, score high on your coaches reports and pick in the top 5 next season.

they are not on my radar. all clear from me.

I see Hoos' point but I think most of us are grownups and know sometimes we cant get to "our" team.

quack is a perfect example of making the plea but chances are, they wont fall....and when they dont, the person who takes them should be man enough to handle the small amount of guilt and more importantly, the guy who pleaded (well, really just made a public request), will handle that someone else took "his" team like a man. (I see champ posted last and is in the same boat...we know who he wants but if ANK got em, champ will prolly go back to minny or grab another team but move on, hopefully not making ank or ice or anyone feel bad (other than friendly kidding), about grabbing them

I like knowing who wants who...I honestly didnt even think about quack but i like letting teams slide to guys who want them. not saying that makes me abetter person than someone who doesnt. just means ive personally had some good draft spots already and would personally rather skip a team so someone who REALLY wants them can get them,.....but i know and expect that to be TOTALLY different that someone who hasnt had as many high draft picks and doesnt want to let a team slide.

anyway, just my 2 cents but great point hoos so we can publicly talk about it and set that expectation that guys can request publicly...lol....but dont be mad when someone still grabs that team

I'm like Nole, if someone asks for their 'team' I'll let them go. I haven't repeated at a school yet and I like to allow fans to have their teams. I'm honestly thinking about Nebraska, but may let them go to a fan, and same with Oregon. I just doubt that the Ducks will fall to Quack, and that's fine. I think that the NDL was built on trying to get dynasties, and guys having their 'team' helps with dynasties. I don't have a problem asking publicly and I appreciate it.

Oregon isn't on my radar homie - don't have to worry about me, I promise
