Blame all you want, I didnt say shit about it, Just a hellva game. Shel is the run up the score vs weaker oppts.

While I am on it, I wanna say thanks to shel for the best write up of the year for our game last season. We played 2 epic battles this version of the game and he was very gracious in his loss this past year with an excellent write up about it, much like the very in detail write up on his big win over me the season before.

I was really hoping to see vids from that one, you are usually so prompt after games but that one seemed to stay dormant. I was concerned since after the hail mary victory of the season before it was up within seconds of the game, but this one stung a little too much to re-live.

Shel doesnt take losing well.

Thats what happens when you dont experience it a lot I guess.

Just for the record, I believe I missed a few recaps last year, even of games I won, so so I think you're giving yourself too much credit.

I will say I have never been a stat whore guy EVER, so those clearly weren't my intensions. Thomas is just as good as Clay in this game but faster and he was prob getting carries late when he shouldn't have. They were in between the tackles, but still its a moot point now.

I'll clarify further since it's my game... 70 of the yards came on one run that put me up 14-0 in the first with 2 mins left. game disco'd we resumed with 6 min quarters since I was able to save the stats. I added that to the updated stats. He did have 250ish yards at the start of the 4th qtr. I actually was clock killing in the the 3rd and literally ran untouched for 67 yards. If Thomas has 4 runs of 60 yards... thats 240 right there.... I was running IN to guys in the 4th. Thomas might have gotten 30 yds rushing in the 4th if that.

As for not pulling people. Lets note that he put 400 yds passing with TROY. That says it all. For what it's worth i was down 21-0 against Lytez and came back and won that one. TCU is almost a full letter grade ahead of K-State, so nothing is impossible. I clearly eased off the gas twice considering i didn't score in the 2nd or 4th quarters.

Sorry if people think i'm a stat whore... tho a team that can tackle (TCU) can clearly stop thomas... for whatever thats worth. Lol

And as Nole said... I honestly don't care that you guys made a wonderful thread about it. Don't see anyone trippin bout Jeffdaddy's auto 500 yard passing games. If anything i'm a breath of fresh air given the direction of play styles this year... but I won't go there...

You're doing the same exact thing there that you're upset that folks on here just did to you.

That's just it, I notice it, but I don't complain about it. It's his play style and it is what it is. It's his moniker if you will. I like to run the ball, and that's why I drafted K-State. I just hear so many complaints about the broken pass game I figure run first offenses are a rare sight these days.

One game shouldn't make you a stat whore. When there are more obvious cases out there. Especially considering I didn't give him like 50 carries for no reason. I have no beef with the pass happy style this year's game took, I just don't see how i'm on auto stat whore status after one game. Considering I piled up 300 yds in a game with Arizona a couple seasons ago with Grigsby... no one made mention of that.

But hey it is what it is like I said. A bunch of complaints on the board won't turn me into some spread offense pass happy guy. It's my play-style and if I get knocked for doing something 80% of league doesn't do then I guess that's just something I have to deal with.

I know I'm new and right now my word don't mean much, but as for me when i am up by 21 in the 4th I will take my starting QB out and starting HB, also with that any impact players, defense or offense, if your up 21 and ran all over some1 for an entire 3 quarters you should have no problem keeping a lead running it with a back-up running back, just my opinion.
