at least 10, probably 12.

just look on the website from that other thread and you can get an idea of the stats.

no need to rent it either, its a must own.

Dave's right...it's a must own. The game has dropped to $39.99 as well. Even before this league started up I was going to get it to keep as a collector item. Really great features with Jordan and the old school teams.

I suck at the R1, see which icon is which, and then pass. Seems to take up way to much time from my shot clock and I lose flow. But if I dont use it, its turnover city.

Need to find a happy medium and also develop a post game.

I hate the get all close, shoot and they miss these little weird shots that never go in.
I'm in the same exact suck boat with C when it comes to this. I can't tell you how many times I'm pushing the left mushroom in the direction of the open guy and ends up getting passed to the exact opposite side into the back of a defender.

And another thing....is anyone else having issues driving down the left/right side of the goal to only have your guy stop, like he hit an imaginery wall, and then some invisible force seems to want to force him out of bounds? This happens to me a lot during a game. It's like a control motion issue i'm having. Is it because i'm mashing hard in the direction of the goal and it's causing this? just pisses me off royally cause it causes my sweet ass layup to turn into a jittery mess that I'm trying to control from going out of bounds!

i can't fathom that you guys aren't using icon passing.

of 200 passes in a game i probably use the icon passing on 175 of them.

Its more of a comfortability thing with me.

I have to train my fingers to use the R1, look at which icon is who, and learn that he is that icon throughout the game.

Instead of fast breakin. 3 on 1,r1,box,dunk.

Not just X, boom.

This.

About the ONLY time i won't use it is late in the shot clock when I just give to a guy and do an iso, so I can still have the hop step option.

i dont leave it up i just put it up real quick and hit the button in one motion.

you kinda need to know what player is what button all the time. its one of the reasons i always bitch to shel about guys looking alike. it messes me up and it causes me to make dumb turnovers cause i'll think its a different guy then it is and throw it away

How do you play a ranked game online?
Just curious. I am on my 3rd online game now and each one is unranked. I am ok with that cause I still suck. I am just curious of how.

Also, I don't see where you had the alley oop pass and such. I know I read that before. Am I missing something?

pretty sure when you just hit quick game it puts you into an online ranked game

not sure what you mean by 'don't see where you had the alley oop' .... if you mean you don't know how then its l2+O.... if you mean you havent see the videos then look on the league websites (there is a thread) and you'll see them right on top

Sorry to be so vague. Yeah, I meant that I thought you had it in your initial post of tips and tricks, but I didn't see it anywhere.
But thanks.

And I am really starting to like this game.
Playing people online, they cannot just take a team like the Spurs and run around the court with Parker or Ginobli and get under the hoop and lay it in. The D, most of the time, stops this from happening.
Or as you stated elsewhere, they cannot just chuck it down court the entire way and lay it in...

I'm actually getting worse the more I play.

I keep shooting those little tweeners when im in close shooting and pressing r2, frustrating as hell!!

Not to mention my outside shooting is atrocious.

When inbounding the ball, it has only happened to me 2 times so far, but I will have control of a different player and it will not inbounds the ball at all.

Any ideas/suggestions?

And how do you inbounds the ball to someone besides the normal guy?

I'd like to know as well. If I switch to any one other than the PG, there is nothing i can do to pass the ball.

I could be wrong but I thought you hit R1 then the button of the guy you want to control....run him wherever you want and hit X i believe.
