Going off of Dr. Tom's post...Why even call block punt there anyhow!?
You're up "28" - 3, yet still going all out for blocks?!

When have admins ever swept anything under the door when someone goes over the 35 point rule?

When have you ever seen an admin sit on their ass regarding the 35 point rule? This score was just posted super late last night and we all work so dont worry tom as an casual observer now just enjoy the league and dont worry about the admin stuff, it will be handled.

LOL...yea I was laughing and thinking when I read that. Is this a disgruntled former employee?
Anyway, thanks for the video Outlaw but really couldnt you have also given a quick little rundown of the game and your take on it? Not a huge deal to me but I am curious and seeing as how Outlaw has been around the block in this league I have to side with him up front on this. He had to believe that for whatever reason the score was going to be posted at 30-3. But if thats the case then why would the other coach post it at 40-3 unless he was trying to get Outlaw in hot water. Seeing as how the penalty for going over 35 points is to get booted its a pretty serious offense as far as being in this league is concerned. If that is the case...and im not saying it is but just for conversation if someone trys to manipulate the score to get someone else booted then that person should be gone for being manipulative to the system.
This is all just speculation on my part and simply for conversation as im home with sick kids today.

You're right! I was wrong there, sorry.
And no, I'm not a "disgruntled employee/former Admin", LOL.... I chose to step away from the position, by my own choice. It's just that, I'm always concerned about the guys that are losing the games, the guys that are losing their games by large amounts. This league can't and won't survive with 120 really good players. We need to remember, respect and acknowledge those guys that aren't winning. It's not easy to enjoy the game all the time if you're losing, especially if you're getting beat handily. And when you're losing ugly, you sometimes find yourself looking at everything your opponent is doing, wondering if he's rubbing salt in the wound....for statisticial purposes and/or because he simply doesn't have a clue that he has the game in hand and could show some sportsmanship and back off alittle. I think some guys think that going balls out all the way up to 35 is perfectly acceptable and should not be frowned on, at all!
There's been an awful lot of blowouts, in the 28-35 point range here early in the season and I worry that some guys may become frustrated and possibly leave....and I'm not always sure that some of the "higher ups" (who many have all the skills and have all the top picks and top teams every season) are remembering the guys that are losing.....
So that's why I'm involved with this thread. It's not to go after outlaw, though he he doesn't seem to be defending himself much here....just looking for answers, seeing the guy that lost handily by 27-37 points hasn't responded yet.

Well if that's the case then guys need to man up and take there losses.
The rule is 35, plain and simple. Now if a guy is throwing deep balls up 28 with 1 minute left in the 4th quarter, that's 1 thing.
But the rule is 35, dont be mad if you lose by 35, it is well within the rules.

I just got in from work. I was able to briefly look at the situation during work today thanks to my friend's I-Phone, so I was able to read up on the situation a bit then and just finished reviewing it now. Based on what I've read and heard about the game the correct score of the game is 30-3. The game disconnected with 4 minutes to go in the second quarter with Outlaw up 10-0 and it was decided by both parties to restart the game with a clean slate. It is not uncommon to start a game over. I've played games in the past with the score 7-0 or 14-0 in the second quarter when the game was disconnected and it was decided to start over with a clean slate 99.9999999% of the time. Perhaps Drez was unclear on what a total restart meant, but Outlaw has been a long-time member of the NDL and I'm 100% certain the 35 point rule was not broken in this case.

That makes the iPhone the official phone of the NDL.
