Glad I got to hook up with Shift and Matt last night. Trendon was on another squad the whole night, but our team was running the maps for the times I was on. This is a great MP game. Conquest is fun, just like Domination but more spread out. I still cannot get over the freaking sound on this! Even the basic Turtle Beach headsets put out amazing sound. You can tell where everyone is around you with them on.

I was extremely close to selling this game. Hell, the ad is probably still up on Craigslist. However, the sound was the one thing that had me give it one more try and, with this one extra night playing, I started to like the game. I can still see it losing out to Modern Warfare 3 because of my lone/biggest gripe: only three game modes. The fact that this game doesn't have a mode similar to Search & Destroy is baffling as this game was made for that sort of thing.

Well, for one, you can avoid campers on that mode by simply not playing it.
Snark aside, there are many ways to handle it. For instance, you could shorten the boundaries for each round like they do on Rush. In fact, the larger maps make a SnD-like game even better because the target can move around each round. Or a Capture the Flag typeof game that is in every single possible multiplayer game there is from Call of Duty to Grand Theft Auto to World of Warcraft.

capture the flag would be fucking sick. Hoping in the back of a jeep and hauling ass to win a game would be awesome. I would totally dig that

Anyone looking at the Recon class, look at this video to see what you can do with the MAV. Also, the importance of spotting and the massive amount of points you can rack up.

I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't play engineer

You can be specialties within the class too. There are engineers that repair and there are engineers like me that are out for the vehicle kills.
In the rush mode I notice much more assault for the purpose of reviving players to keep tickets, but you really don't see them on conquest except for maybe a couple. I tend to see them more on the other side than I do on ours.

yeah when you play a map with a ton of vehicles its hard not to go engineer so you have a fighting chance. I like being able to take tanks or AA's down if I'm defending a flag an no friendlies in the area...otherwise you just give it up and run...and I hate doing that lol.

Hint on tanks and vehicles in your areas. When you see a tank coming down the road and there is mines on the road (they're marked on the minimap), hide then as he hits the mines he'll become disabled and you can wait for one to pop out to repair.

I just load out with the Explosives perk and lay down all six mines. Then you can just skip to the complete destruction.

Do you find you get a lot of tank kills that way? I haven't even tried the mines yet and I haven't seen the mines blow a tank up yet...might have to change my load outs and try it.

Tons. And it looks like a stock ticker on your screen with the points. Vehicle disabled, vehicle destroyed, kill, kill, double kill, ribbon.

lol, luckily we don't play on the hardcore servers cause we'd be blowing up our own tanks with your method. I like to set them up in rows of 3 or 4 across a road, I also like to place them in debris so they're less easy to make out on the road for drivers and engineers looking to get rid of them.
Speaking of, I saved Trendon last night and he doesn't even know it. I spotted some enemy minds in the road so I went to take them out when all of a sudden I hear a vehicle coming so I took the mines out and sure enough here comes trendon not 3 seconds after driving over the spot where the mines where. You're welcome Trendon.

I saw them the whole way, of course. I trust you.
