i just hope they score a ton of pointsBlock M wrote:I'd say there was no shot had this been the first meeting between Detroit and New Orleans but since they played just over a month ago I think it's a close game with Detroit definitely covering the 10.5 pt spread.

Re: ***NFL Playoffs Thread***
The homer in me is thinking that the first game between the Saints and Lions deserves an asterisk, seeing as both Suh and Delmas (along with their best CB Houston) were all out in that one. And, again playing homer here, I didnt see that first game as being as big a blowout as everyone makes it out to be. Detroit had the ball in NO territory in the 4th with a chance to tie if I recall.
That being said, I think Im being too optimistic and Brees will have a field day

Yea, not a guarantee at 25%, but certainly not likely.nick wrote:i saw the last few and i was like, eh thats a good enough sample. appears i was semi wrongshel311 wrote:The internet answers ALL questions lol.nick wrote:how many times ever has the #1 from both sides met in the Super Bowl?

I think 2009 was the top seeds in NO and IND, right?
Before that, 1993 was the last time according to a NY Times article, that I don't feel like linking lol.

When I was quickly glancing I was looking at names and assuming not #1 ex: Arizona lol. I saw Ind-NO but for some reason I thought NO was #2 but now Im remembering the Superdome win over Favre lol.shel311 wrote:Yea, not a guarantee at 25%, but certainly not likely.nick wrote:i saw the last few and i was like, eh thats a good enough sample. appears i was semi wrongshel311 wrote:The internet answers ALL questions lol.nick wrote:how many times ever has the #1 from both sides met in the Super Bowl?

i hate going chalk, i just don't think Baltimore can win @NE and PIT isn't healthy enough.
On the other side, the Packers are just so much better than everyone else and will be at home

Louis Delmas is starting tonight!
Delmas and Suh for this go around with the Saints. Might be a different story! LETS GO DETROIT!

Megatron!
This doesn't look like a team just happy to be in the playoffs. Keep it up Detroit!

Re: ***NFL Playoffs Thread***
Them taking that Saints TD away was ridiculous.....I just can't believe the fact that a guy can run a ball and as soon as the ball is over the goal line they can just drop the ball and it's still a TD. A guy catches the ball, with complete control in the end zone, he hits the ground and he loses control of the ball and it's incomplete. Just bullshit and I'm a Bronco fan so I couldn't care less about the winner of this...just sick of the hypocrisy in the rules. ARGH

Re: ***NFL Playoffs Thread***
Saints playing about as bad as they possibly could, questionable call on that TD reversed, and we're still in decent shape here.
God, what an awful performance so far.
