you don't have to be signed in to psn for netflix. It will try to sign you in but all you have to do is cancel and neflix will load.bearass wrote:does netflix work while this is down? this was supposed to be archer time!

Would this be the same issue with mlb.tv. It should work without psn also correct?OracleHCR wrote:you don't have to be signed in to psn for netflix. I guess it's a SKyrim type of night.
Also, speaking of the PS3, is anybody else's time always an hour off? I've changed it a bunch of times and it always ends up an hour ahead. Yes, it's also on Eastern time.

The two of you claiming nationalistic pride should be ashamed of yourselves as a geek. Any online-centric service worth its salt runs their major updates on an early Tuesday morning. World of Warcraft, Steam, Battle.net, Trion Worlds, and EA's PC universes all run major updates in the middle of the night between Monday and Tuesday. Going back, Kali, Heat.net, mplayer, and Zone all did, too. The Western Hemisphere suffers on a Monday or early Tuesday and the Eastern Hemisphere suffers early Tuesday or mid-day Wednesday.
If Blizzard can do it with their very large Asian population, Sony can too.

That is going back. I'm not ashamed of myself as a geek. They could have done it midnight PST on Tuesday but that would have put it around 8 pm in Japan. Who would you rather piss off? The round eyes across the ocean? or the people of your own country.trendon wrote: Going back, Kali, Heat.net, mplayer, and Zone all did, too.
It just doesn't bother me as much as it seems to bother everyone else.

Well, wait ... who handles these things? SCEA or Sony in Japan?OracleHCR wrote:That is going back. I'm not ashamed of myself as a geek. The network isn't just down in the US. The whole network is down.trendon wrote:Well, wait ... who handles these things? SCEA or Sony in Japan?OracleHCR wrote:That is going back. I believe so. If it were just the US servers down, I would be a little pissed. But it is all servers. At least England got to play until 8 pm. So at least their entire Sunday wasn't lost.trendon wrote:

I honestly don't remember the last time I turned on my PS3 to play a game.
I miss those 4am, nonstop PS3 nights.
