Same.nick wrote:+1. Im picking all 25 rounds, you can get studs later on just gotta researchtball275 wrote:I'd rather not have to send in a draft list. I want to keep picking my players as I have for the first few years we've been playing this game. That's part of the experience of being a GM in this game. Let's keep it the way it was originally scheduled with the time limit and working through the week.

What happened to live draft for guys that want to go that way and if you can't, send a list?
I actually have 4 hours to burn this Saturday night.

I have confirmed that I can transfer control of the game to you. So you would be able to log into your own game through the webinar. I can make arrangements for guys that want to draft all 25 rounds as long as everyone makes themselves available since I have to transfer control each time.brwnbear wrote:I am pretty sure I can. It would be your file. Just like at your home computer.shel311 wrote:Can we control the computer when we're in the webinar?
Each player would get their own draft list, with their scout ratings, and with the guys who are drafted already taken out. It would also help out because your auto picks would be done by your scout (or que) instead of the utility.
Plus, having the stats is going to be a pain in the ass with the utility, since you wont be able to differenciate between how how each league differs from a difficulty rating (game now provides you the difficulty of league the drafted player plays in- BCS has higher difficulty than - MAC for example).

I'd LOVE to do that.
Can we set some weekday ground rules and time limits?

We could do a few hours on Wednesday night (after the sim), a few hours on Thursday, and finish friday in time for the sim. Or push back the sim till sat evening and complete the draft on Sat evening.

For the first round, it wont be hard for guys in the top 10 to send a list if they cant attend. What about Saturday? Again, all anyone needs is internet access.

I already spend one day a year sitting around drafting real players in a fantasy baseball auction.
I'm reluctant to commit to any time spent sitting around drafting fantasy players in a fantasy baseball game.

wouldnt you be sending in a list or allowing your scout to draft for you anyways?dakshdar wrote:I already spend one day a year sitting around drafting real players in a fantasy baseball auction.

That I can do and that takes much less time than sitting around with a group of people online and actuallying doing a draft, unless I'm completely missing what you're proposing.brwnbear wrote:wouldnt you be sending in a list or allowing your scout to draft for you anyways?dakshdar wrote:I already spend one day a year sitting around drafting real players in a fantasy baseball auction.

This may be a stupid question, but do we have to wait to start the draft?
The reason I'm asking is that in the other league I'm in, we start the draft as soon as the draft pool becomes available, but due to starting it so early, there's no clock (time limit) set, in particular for the first round. Occasionally you get a guy who disappears for several hours, but usually it moves pretty damn well and everyone is pleased that they aren't rushed thru that first round. When we get to the actual point in the season when it's time for the draft, THEN they go to the clock time's that you're talkin about, an hour at a time, but it's more of a 11am to 11pm CST, to appease the guys in each time zone.

HOLY...FUCK... this is actually a brilliant idea lol. and it would ensure more participation in the draft which WILL go a long way in 5-7 years when these stud 80/80 20 yr olds will no longer exist.Knapp wrote:This may be a stupid question, but do we have to wait to start the draft?

Even easier. You can just edit your scouting que and let the scout do the rest of the work.dakshdar wrote:That I can do and that takes much less time than sitting around with a group of people online and actuallying doing a draft, unless I'm completely missing what you're proposing.brwnbear wrote:wouldnt you be sending in a list or allowing your scout to draft for you anyways?dakshdar wrote:I already spend one day a year sitting around drafting real players in a fantasy baseball auction.

How do you keep track who has been drafted in round 10 and on? thats 200 players you have to cycle through before you can figure out who is left...Knapp wrote:This may be a stupid question, but do we have to wait to start the draft?

We have done it with the utility in the past but its a pain in the ass as you have to figure out a way to keep track of who has been taken in the actual game.

Re: 2016 Amateur Draft (Begins Sunday 18th)
easy. you can write a report aka post it on a website all the players info. do it in excel, as a players drafted, u cross the player off. I can post a huge alphebetical list and do it manually if you really want. its not that hard.brwnbear wrote:How do you keep track who has been drafted in round 10 and on? thats 200 players you have to cycle through before you can figure out who is left...Knapp wrote:This may be a stupid question, but do we have to wait to start the draft?
