Re: Let's talk about GM-less New England
Today is such a good day for OOTP immersion... imagine if we had had a sim too!

Not to get off topic, what is the problem with having a CPU controlled team? I am not understanding why they are such a problem.
My point is, i seriously just realized in this thread that before Ry came along, we only had 3 guys. I assumed it was 4 all along since we had decided to bring over 4 USBL teams.
maybe i'm in the minority here, but i'd take 22 teams all human owners over 24 teams with 2 cpu owners, and it ain't even close. (AINEC)
My question is, if 3 guys were coming over, what was the point of adding a 2nd cpu team, when we could have had no cpu teams?
2nd question, if one other person joins up today or tomorrow and we have 5, are we then going to bring over 6 USBL teams and keep 2 cpu controlled teams, again?

Re: Let's talk about GM-less New England
Am I able to join or not? If it causes a problem to be a fifth team I understand. Id like to join up though. Its hard to tell whats going on in here

this is called ootp immersion bigry, learn to love it. the more owners the better, were just arguing CPU controlled teams.shel311 wrote:Nah, you joining isn't the issue at all. It is comments like this that make me regret even offering to have the bonus sim yesterday even though it would have been a good thing considering the current playoff status.Uuaww wrote:Today is such a good day for OOTP immersion... imagine if we had had a sim too!

Re: Let's talk about GM-less New England
if we're going to be at 23, i wouldnt be opposed to going to 30. i think we could get 7 more guys.nick wrote:ok heres a Q that might need to be considered...
why dont we make the league 30 teams if CPUs are ok? Merger.. We know with the extended NDL/NCAA offseason and simply the # of people in the NDL, we will eventually fill the league. were at 23 of 30 now. So if we have the cpu teams here, it liquidates the league which we all want, and when new owners join it doesnt fuck our teams anymore and we will finally have depth and not worry about losing it.
Just a thought.
not this minute, but soon i'd think

question, other than dave, anyone else quit ootp?

Yea. I was in the same boat. I like 30. Then we dont have to keep worrying about teams bwing loaded. The talent pool would never change. We'd already have the teams in place. I like that idea.

Webs used to be Carolina I think. Buckeye used to be Westerville, who moved to Vegas when Dak took over I think.
I tihnk that's it.

Re: Let's talk about GM-less New England
I'm sure 30 would be awesome, it'd be up to trendon/gabe though.
I mean waiting a season would be fine too b/ I think i'm getting the 1st pick the draft... plus a comp 1st rounder, and having as few teams in the draft the better for me
I'm taking Christensen again, fucker is signing with me or never playing.

Re: Let's talk about GM-less New England
I don't think NE is hurting anything right now. If we're bringing 4, and we have 4 guys, that's will be fine. We'll still have NE in case we have 1 person join up next year and we can avoid another expansion like Bear mentioned.
I'm fine with pretty much whatever though as long as we all (majority) agree on it and it doesn't make it crazy hard for Trendon and Bear

And, just a month or so ago, it was unanimous to keep New England as a CPU team.Seeitsaveit13 wrote:I'm fine with pretty much whatever though as long as we all (majority) agree on it and it doesn't make it crazy hard for Trendon and Bear
