This. I actually have tickets to a couple events this year in London. Sadly I may have to cancel my trip.
hilarious.

my wife asked me to come on here and asked if anyone had any access to tickets for the olympics.

i said, 'why the fuck would any of these dudes be going to London, i'm not asking'

she has a friend going for her honeymoon and already bought train tickets and hotels but doesn't have tickets and i guess there is some lottery process? is it possible to sell those tickets? if so, PM me and i'll try to help you out with a buyer.

I tried to play it. It was the hardest thing I ever tried, no hyperbole. I am a fan.
No lie about how hard it is, I used to play, for the club team at Florida State and Tennessee, and played Masters level here in Vegas until my third kid was born. Actually played once in the National Masters Water Polo championships at goalie about 6 years ago.
always wondered why guys would ever choose to play goalie in handball/water polo.

dudes get rockets thrown off their faces, no?
Was drinking with a girl at the airport and she told me she played water polo now because she got hurt and concussed in all the other sports. Asked her what position and she said goalie...I'm in the same boat as you Dave, baffling

Yeah, quite a few bloody noses over the years, and got hit pretty hard once when rocket hit the post and straight into my ear. But I just seemed to have better luck in the net then in the field, I always sucked at shooting, better goalkeeping instincts I guess then most. But you are the anchor of your team's defense, there's pride in being a goalie for any sport I think

In my short time playing, that might be the least painful position in the pool. I spent three days - before I quit - swimming until I nearly passed out, cycling my legs to stay afloat, waiting for the ball, and when I got the ball; kicked in the shins, having my thighs pushed down on, and they would put one goddamn finger on your shoulder and you'd nearly drown. Plus, in between the goalie and the shooter are people who are not playing goal who get hit just as often.

AND THAT WAS PRACTICE!

I took like some advanced swim class my senior year of college to get some cardio and needed one unit. We played water polo for our final and I almost tapped out. I thought I was gonna drown like five different times.

My cousin has them. I was going over there for his wedding and he said he'd hook me up. My brother and parents are still going so my cuz is giving the tickets to them.

My wife always makes fun of me for having my "internet husbands." Then when she needs/wants something she calls them my "friends on the board."

There is still not a single human being in RL that knows I play in this league. They all know I play(ed) Warcraft, but this would put them over the edge.

I do, to an extent. I dislike that swimming is a featured event; so boring, even with the Phelps drama last time. I like the basketball, running, soccer, and water polo games but not much else.
agreed minus water polo. Although it gets tremendous skill and stamina, still gets boring.
