Jesus christ, the game is flawed with zones and people complain, but nobody else is a fucking complainer. Why can't I post something about the game without being told all I do is complain? Answer that? Jesus christ, I posted that everyone should just throw fucking curls on 3rd down and I get my shit jumped. WTF?
Cue Nick...
Jesus, I don't need advice, I need the game to give me automatic wins. Fuck...
Now this is a pretty good melt down. I had one on the softball field today. You always feel better after a melt down.
Thank you...

Note to self: when playing coug, go with curls on first down. He'll never see it coming! If needed, third downs as well, but only on the headset.

You're Washington State, what did you expect? I'm the worst BCS team in the game and I'm fully prepared for the beat downs I'm going to take. I played Michigan State last night and he had receivers wide open on every single play and there was nothing I could do about it. It didn't matter if I played man, zone, or anything in between. It just comes with the territory. You've just got to deal with it and accept that your team sucks. Just try not to make mistakes on offense and hope your opponent does and even then it probably won't be enough.

Did not know you were this upset over our game. You should have said something. I would gave you a win...
I think I am 100% on games that I win having comments made about the game the next day.
I see an open man I throw it. This game was just one that I got the 4 ints for me and he got screwed by the game favoring me for a change.
sorry you feel that way. Oddly enough I feel wierd when I win my games. Almost as if I did something wrong. Now your rant makes me feel even worse now.
Wish I would listen to DOC and Outlaw more when they tell me to play how I want to play and F- what people think about it.

This sentence says it all by Kdog. I think we have to make sure to ask ourselves is there a reason my opponent keeps throwing the slant. Well for all we know he might be calling plays with mixed routes and whatever defense you keep calling is stopping all the other routes. I think most of us wouldn't say well I need to stop throwing it to the open man on the slant route and throw it to the receiver who is covered or even double covered
Like somebody already said, that might be the time to try a different defense call. Maybe even one you have never tried just to see what happens. It can't hurt!
This wasn't meant for just coug. I have heard it a couple times from other coaches that they are dinging someone because they kept throwing a certain route but come on guys think about it before automatically knocking someone's coaches report because if you go back and look at the game you might notice that the slant (insert route of choice) was the only receiver open.
Yeah I know how dare I bring some constructive help to this thread

Quack dropping some logic on fools.
Never ceases to amaze me that people complain about certain things and never look in them mirror to try to figure out what they are doing that is allowing those things to happen.

Post of the day right here.
I've felt bad about this for awhile when I play, but then I think back and it's not like I run "Quick Slants" 15 times. It just so happens that one guy is running a slant and four others are running something different, but the Slant guy just happens to be the open one. With me, it's more so the Tight End Out play that happens to be open quite a bit. If the guy is open, I'm going to attempt to get him the ball.

This is all well and good but there are certain plays you just know are going to work so you generally call them on 3rd down. Having said that, if you're in man coverage alone on an island and your DB is backed off then I'm trying an out, in, curl or a slant depending on where the other defenders are.
On the opposite side, when I'm on defense I'm mixing it up as much as I can to throw people off balance so that they can't just run a specific route on a specific down. I'll hot route blitzing linebackers into double coverage or a zone to cover those areas where i see someone picking on.
