Zone and man both work, much more evenly than in years past, I expect we will see fewer ints next season.

Agree, no way. We'll see just as many this season.

6ftdeep wrote:zone is not that bad.. maybe because Im Oregon but I played about 75% to 80% zone D, and I would manage to get stops.. I managed to give up big plays as well, but I actually feel Zone played the run way better then man.
Agree. Defense jumped leaps and bounds post-patch. Happy to have functional zone back.

People aren't going to learn and get better? I know I am, I am throw way less ints than I did early on. Granted I lapse at times, but it's like every 10 games I have issues as opposed to every other game.

Yeah, when I threw twice as much as I ran, I threw 4 picks a game. When I went back to a more balanced offensive attack, my picks went way down.

Guys will adjust and I doubt we'll see as many picks this next season.

no I mean man and zone are not evenly balanced.. there is a reason a people tend to play more man this year, and why people throw more picks into man.. that mirror coverage is no joke when it kicks in.. I m serious when people start falling back on man defense cause they ran up against some who can read a zone coverage. and you mess up and throw a pick on a drag, slant, or post/ corner post cause it looked open.. unless you are willing to abuse the same routes all game .. you gonna continue to threw picks.. or you better run with the qb..

Zone doesn't have mirror type coverage.. and as long as you can read coverage and your oline doesn't totally blow, you can break down zone all game long, with a plethora of route combinations. I like zone and will tend to play it, cause I like the bend but don't break type of play keep things in-front and rally to the ball.

 I use that cause most of my picks came this season in zone coverage.

Sounds like my D setup.......smh.

As the league leader in ints thrown, I have to say that most of them came against man. The ones that came against zone where usually a lb floating into coverage where he shouldn't have been. :?
