We lose to Baylor at home, ending our nation-high 55 game home winning streak; first home loss under Coach Cal.
Goodwin is a good player, but he is NOT a PG. Cal keeps comparing him to Westbrook....he's a ton more Iverson, just more selfish.
Harrow has to be the PG we thought he'd be and get the ball out of Goodwin's hands, or we will struggle massively this year. That said, I don't know that I've ever seen so many shots rim out as I did in this game....at least 20 shots (and about 7 threes) that hit at least two parts of the rim and came out.

No wonder Cal was trying so hard to duck IU.

I'm not sure, but I know he's our #1 target, and the other kids we've signed (the Harrison twins, James Young, and Marcus Lee) are trying hard to help recruit him to join them.
If he comes to UK, it's the greatest recruiting class in history (#1, #3, #5, and #6)....oh yeah, we're also #1 on the list of that #4 guy, Julius Randle

We offered to play both games at Lucas Oil Field, or two games at any other neutral site, big-ticket sale spot IU wanted. We even tried again last week to renew talks and IU said "no thanks".
IU refused to play any series that didn't bring the game to Bloomington.
Who is ducking who?

So I knew Wiggins was in Kentucky for a hoops tourney.
What I didn't know is that after the game, he left the court wearing a UK shirt

IU never refused to play Kentucky. They were more than happy to continue the series at Rupp this year. Turning down home game sure sounds like ducking to me.

For years we played a neutral site series. I don't blame the UKAD for not wanting to return to Bloomington after the actions of the IU fans after you guys won (fans pushing the players down, pouring drinks on the players/fans). Plus neutral sites allow for bigger crowds, more ticket sales, more TV coverage, etc. IU refused to renew any co tract that didn't include Assembly Hall. Thus there was no game this season as the contract had expired.

Down go the Hoosiers. Jordy Hulls is awful defensively. For all the good stuff he does, its cancelled out late in games in situations like that.

This game has been terrific....sorry Duke-UNC, but you're not the best rivalry in college basketball.
Both of these teams could very well be in the Final Four again this year. Great answer by the Cats from down 17, and UofL showing they are deep w a lot of weapons.

Cats and Cards is a great rivalry but not even close to matching UNC and Duke

Take away the media hype and it's not even close. We have a coach who has coached at both schools, the most rabid fan base in hoops, and only ONE game per year for a whole year of bragging rights (not the two or three UNC/Duke per year).
Add in Indiana and this is the hotbed, forget Tobacco Road

i'll agree with both sides here.
UK-UL isn't close to Duke-UNC mostly because nobody outside of Kentucky/Indiana cares about the game while Duke/UNC is a national event. but thats certainly because of the media/ESPN creating the monster of UNC/Duke.
but they had a lot better games in the past 20 years to keep that rivalry exciting and certainly alot better college players in those games.
