let the game load story mode
press start, go to online
go to character, delete, remake.
go down to like Play GTA Online and click SOLO Mission and it should work thru there. took a while but it worked.

I had no problems tonight except for not being able to invite those of you that haven't completed all the tutorial missions.

I was in a room with about 15 Spanish speaking people. It took me a few minutes to figure how the hell to mute them.

Been sitting at the launching session screen for over 10-15 mins waiting to do my tutorial. The launch screen is so fucking awesome.

Played with outrage and dan on a few missions. Jason was in the room but kept saying "wait one minute, let me just rob this store..." Team missions are gonna get fun as hell when they start getting hard and you need strategy and shit for heists.

once they get the servers running right, and everyone gets thru the basics, this game should be kick ass with 10 ndl'rs in the same room. Laughing to tears when jscence car got destroyed on a mission. Wish you could film shit from a helicopter, ajalves launching his car off a 5000 ft mountain and watching it from a helicopter.

They need to get this thing fixed. I have Fall Break next week so I'm free to play for the next 9 days.

Rockstar Games has provided an update on the fixes it's putting in place for its Grand Theft Auto Online server issues. The multiplayer mode launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 earlier this week to slow load times and the inability to access Grand Theft Auto Online at all for some. "For PlayStation 3 users, a PlayStation Network server issue was detected that was limiting the amount of possible concurrent users," says a Rockstar Games spokesperson. This was preventing players from accessing the online mode and has now been resolved.
Although an update is live for PlayStation 3 users, the company is also planning to release a similar patch for Xbox 360 players "as soon as possible today." The GTA Online maker is also working to address an issue that stops players across both consoles from completing the first tutorial mission. "Many players have been able to get through this with repeated retries, and we are working on unblocking this for everyone as soon as possible," says a spokesperson. Rockstar has also disabled the option to purchase GTA$ cash packs until everyone has access to GTA Online and it's stable. The company promises that "all of these initial technical issues will be ironed out as soon as we can."

it was pretty fun laughing and shit last night, but it seems like GT4 was waaaaaay easier to party up with your buddies.
Seems like an incredible hassle now.
Maybe someone with more "knowledge" can tell me exactly what the point of it is. I mean i get it. However, is free roam the thing? are jobs the thing? is it just fuck around?
dont get me wrong, when Dan and I were driving that Lambo off the mountains repeatedly....i was having fun, but we were basically just screwing around
also when i stole an 18 wheeler and drove it to a job that Outrage, Dan and I were pulling and I was driving the 18 wheeler Terminator 2 style, it was fun....
i guess i just dont see what you're supposed to do.
just mess around?
or are we looking to build up our crew rating? if so, why?
just curious

personally, I want to build up crew ratings and get to bigger and better jobs. I want to get to the point where we have to plan and use strategy to complete jobs like in the game... hopefully with guys doing different tasks and working together. no idea if this is even possible or gonna happen but would love it.

is that actually how it works?
I guess if the jobs actually get more difficult, that'd be cool.
