Just downloaded this morning. Game says 1.28.27. Is my file screwed up? I've only had 2 good downloads since arbitration. So confused.

Started last night at 11:40, stepped away, came back at 11:54 and it was done. Not sure of actual time, but it was probably 5 minutes.

wanna help this issue? when youre downloading and its acting up, go on speedtest and check your speeds.
these files are like 200mb. so at 1mb/sec, you get it in 4-5 minutes, which 1-3mb/sec is what i get (and pay about $70/month for).. now some of you, lets be frank, dont live in communities with million + people so why would you guys have incredible ISPs?
seems like the big issue happens when you download during peak times, and im willing to bet your internet speeds get spliced because of it so instead of getting like 1mb/sec u get 50kb/sec which is 20x slower so instead of 4 minutes, you take 80 minutes.
But ya, I know everyones gonna come in and tell me how they have the top ISP in their area, so post your SPeedtests, and then we can go from there.
RAM is key too. RAM runs these programs to the ground. I have an eh comp and when OOTP runs the rest of my shit suffers. takes about 1GB of ram.
that 1GB of ram adds to the freezing and shit. If you just leave it, it will eventually move on.

I used to have a laptop and ran ootp off that and it would take 20-30 minutes a sim.
The new Mac, less than 5 minutes every time.
I have the mid level Internet plan so that probably factors as well but for me it has been about the actual device making a huge difference.

Still at 8%
But here yea go Nick, isnt the issue. This was just taken as the DL is still stuck. I have gave up and just closed OOTP and deleted everything.

i tried to reinstall the file and i'm getting some error when i try to download the league files...it says Error:could not load file
http://www.yourdomain.com/your-league/files/ndl.tar.gz
i renamed the folder to ndl.lg so i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, any assistance?
what i'm looking at right now is
OOTP-->saved_games-->ndl.lg--> (bunch of files including settings) --> accountsdata_gms.dat
not sure where i'm messing up.... anyone have any advice?

Nick, you are correct in talking about ram and such but I know my pc can handle this.
I built it myself a few years ago.
AMD equivalent to the Intel I7 processor, don't remember the name of this one off the top if my head and 16 GB of RAM.
When my download is running, if I check the computer the CPU is only at 8-12% depending on what else I may have running in the backdground and my memory only gets up to about 20% at the highest.
My internet is 18 MB service through ATT and whil having the issue my speed test results were in the 15-16 MB range.
So as I told reign, in my opinion, it is a host related issue.
Obviously it is just a guess though at this point.
Dave, did you reinstall OOTP completely?
If so and still having issues, if you want to download a program called Teamviewer which is free, I would be happy to log into your machine and take a look at it with you.

It depends on how the hosts infrastructure is setup nick.
If they have more than one server and do load balancing there could be a number of things that cause issues. Those are the types of issues I used to deal with at my work for a few years.
If they load balance based on geographical, east vs west vs other countries like Canada, then some of us are hitting different servers. It all depends on how they are setup.
They could be load balancing strictly based off of network traffic.
It could depend on if they have their settings set to something similar to a connection setting called keep alive where once you connect to a server, you cannot switch to another one until your license expires, even if that server is having issues.
Their could be 100's of things that could be causing the issues.

no, i just deleted the files that were in my OOTP and then followed the steps on page 1 of the league thread.
