There's still a chance. Day was -5 at the turn. He's got the game to make a run, and he tees off early tomorrow. The wind was up this afternoon and a lot of higher scores came from the later groups. Tomorrow he's early and Spieth is late. Could certainly flip back around.
That being said, a triple at 16 is inexcusable if you're #1 in the world
I hope to see him make an early charge. I came in to this week rooting for Day and Rickie and I don't know what the hell happened with Fowler

I should paste in my AIM conversation I had with a friend yesterday while watching. I don't care for Rickie. I think he's a good dude, but he's just annoys me. He's a midget with a pornstache that looks like he should be on bad sitcom. (feel free to send that to Lebby) However, it was really painful to watch him crack yesterday. On 13, he shanked right into the needles and should have played it short of the creek to try to save par. Instead, he goofed again and popped the ball over the gallery on the right. I don't think that was his only shot, I think it was a pure mishit either from the lie of the ball or shifting of the needles under his feet. Having played a lot in South Carolina and spending more than my fair share of time hitting from them, it can really screw you up. After that, he cooked the ball over the green. They did a long view of him walking up and you could really see that it was in his head. At that point, he crapped the bed again trying to get back to the hole. It just steamrolled from there. On the 16th, it's a par 3 with water left... there's really no reason to be even remotely close to the water... it looked like he caught it fat and pulled it, dumping it in the drink by a good measure. On the bright side, he made it to Amen Corner before going full suck... Els couldn't get off of the 1st green.

Yeah I couldn't believe when Rickie hit it in the water at 16. It's also what killed Day. With that pin location no way you should even get close. So much of the green funnels straight back to the flag, just crazy

Still does. It's colder and windier today, and going to be even more cold tomorrow with more wind.
Anything can happen.

I have completely ignored this thread till today. I am fascinated by this Bryson DeChambeau "kid"
I'd love to see how much better I'd play if all my clubs were the length of a 7 iron, or how much worst I'd play for that matter.

Well a lot could happen now. Day and DJ in easy striking distance. Smylie made a run. Langer hanging in there. Spieth was far from his best.
Should be a crazy afternoon tomorrow!

That shot on 12 hasn't even close. Could be staring at a double and make this interesting again

Maybe.
If Johnson could putt, he'd be at -7 right now.

So, during breakdown we were collecting some of our scoring terminals and I had to go into the Jones cabin to get one of the systems.
The security guard checks my badge and says to go in. I walk right to the machine and start to unlock and un cable. I hear a voice behind me say "Man, Y'all are taking that from us already?"
So I turn around and it's Billy Payne sitting on the couch with his wife and grand kids. I'm thinking to myself "I'm done." I said that we could leave it as long as he wanted and I didn't need to take it and he just laughed and said "no go on ahead it's fine y'all work very quickly!" And then laughed.
When I came out the other guy I was working with said I was white as a ghost.
