All the injuries from 17 didn't transfer over to 18.
Go get em Corey!!!
Things Nick did not know before forming his opinion.
Cue Nick coming in and saying that "doesn't matter" all of a sudden.

What am I whining about? 2 days ago you told me specifically, that Corey was intentionally getting raped in the Oliver deal to try and start leveling things out and now he's doing the opposite with Shel. Of course I'm not happy about the notion of intentionally losing deals....especially with another strong team. Hell, deal the same 4 guys to Nick for Arthur Quick if we're trying level things out.

if a stud player hits the trade market, you need to find out if corey wants him. His farm is still insane and he can and will offer more than anyone else for a player. Teams would be stupid not to go to him first in trades but it means the rest of us don't really have a shot.

That's pretty much it, and why I didn't give qazby much of a chance lol. In fairness, I looked over the roster for STC and another team, but as Ted said, teams just can't offer what Boston can.
Even though we're feeding the beast, if you will, you have to do what's in the best interest of your own team, so it would not be wise IMO to just avoid Boston and get a lesser return for a guy like Hewitt.
Another thing, avoiding trading with Boston...I think people, or 1 person, says this alot but has no clue what that would mean. It basically guarantees 120+ wins for Boston for 15 years. Obviously it's a fluid situation and he can make moves but at its core, the more prospects you take away from Boston, the sooner he can come back to reality a bit.
There's literally nothing we can do to stop the Boston train in the short term...except maybe start the playoffs.

On a scale of 1-10, when Corey steps down from Boston into a commish only role, how bad is Kevin going to feel?

He can't handle me being vocal about all this? Not my problem. I'm not a fan of someone telling me there are purposefully losing deals going on when there's 28 other teams that suffer because of it. Not how I would handle business. Let me just bitch about how perfect his team is. No need getting your feelings hurt
And your right Shel, Hewitt isn't Oliver...he's 10x more valuable in our league than Oliver will ever be. But I'm sure the voices of constant reason will pretend they've never said how much more valuable offense is than SP.

Can't handle vs doesn't want to handle the annoyance, which is over 50% coming from you at this point. I doubt you'd even deny that it's gotten so bad.
Good to see you're looking out for the league's best interest Mr "not my problem"
You legit should consider quitting. You mentioned it so it's on your mind, and I'm not even being an a-hole, but it's pretty clear that it would be good for you and it would be good for the league as well. May be something to consider.

i'm actually happy with this trade.
Sheltown had some shitty luck last year and their team was close to mine so if he wants to punt i'll take less competition in my division. Boston is already Boston with or without Hewitt.

This seems obvious but is important to note.
It's like the law of diminishing returns or something...Boston is so good, they can't really get THAT much better.
DRiccio21 wrote: so if he wants to punt
I haven't ruled out rebuilding yet, but as of now we're retooling, if you will.
I won 82 games last season and will be losing an SP and 2 outfielders with no money for free agents. It didn't some prudent to just stand pat and go at it again next season with a worse team, so we're going to make a few moves and get some money and some new players and...probably go at it again next season with a worse team.
