I know I've been in a blowout before that I wanted the other guy to just run it out.
Same. Is it allowed here?

Don't forget there is a fail safe way to check if your opponent pulled off Key Run or simply crashed.

When you do the L2, Guess Run feature and you pick the right direction or blow it up in the backfield, Season Showdown pops up and says +5 points. The reward system makes it clear of what your opponent did.

If you do shifts or slants in one direction normally, then you don't get the Season Showdown points. Whether you guess the right direction or not.
true...but the big question is how can the diff be proven in a video. the replays dont show the points.
If you've seen someone use it in a game you know. The linebackers safeties cb's and linemen all sell out in the direction the play run feature was directed. If you've guessed wrong the wr are wide open or the run going the other direction is undefended.

THIS IS A GREAT SET OF NEW RULES!!!! THIS L2 RUN CRASHING AS STATED IN THE RULES IS PURE GARBAGE AND A FEW COACHES WHO IN THE PAST WERE STR8 PLAYERS HAVE BECOME TOTAL GARBAGE TO PLAY,,,, BECAUSE THEY USE THIS ON EVERY PLAY ON DEFENSE.. THE RUN CRASHING BLOWS UP EVERY PLAY,,, RUN /PASS, NO MATTER WHAT SIDE OF THE FIELD YOU CALL IT ON.. THE OFFENSE HAS NO COUNTER TO IT PERIOD... ANYONE WHO USES IT NEEDS TO QUIT LEAGUE BALL AND GO BACK TO THE LOBBY ROOMS..... THANK YOU A.J AND COMMISHES FOR HAVING THE COURAGE AND BALLS TO STEP UP TO MAKE THESE RULES!!!! THIS WILL HELP BRING BACK THE OLD NDL WE ALL LOVED.. WERE STR8 PLAY AND SPORTSMANSHIP WAS THE RULES OF THE DAY..

I talked to AJ, he said he has no problem with it if both coaches are ok with doing so.

As he said....if nobody files a complaint about it, how is he to know? lol

nicely said young man.

great rule changes AJ . let's get back to the chess match that football is. that L2 feature is garbage and is a cheap way out from trying to slow any defense down. let's all play football like grown men and win or lose , make the 1 hour experience of playing sim football on the ps3 a great time.

nice, I commend the decision to ban this completely because if it were not it would be used by some, some would not use it all, some people would be non chalant about it, and others would need vagisil to calm the bitching. Good choice. Thank you!

what if EA does not store a replay for the given play, just a thought?

I already thought of that as well. Normally on a run with a 2 yard loss, you won't get a replay out of it.

That being said, that's where you go to the coaches reports. If someone uses it once on me, that's an automatic hit on the coaches report, use it twice, and you're getting 1s and 2s, lol. Do that in enough games, and the reports will do the work for the benefit of the league.

That being said, I REALLY hope guys can tell the difference between line slants and the guess run feature.

I would also hope if an opponent uses it, NDLers would talk to the opponent about the play in question, just to further be sure that it was in fact the guess run feature being used.

does someone really have to use it twice to get the hammer? That style of play is banned, clearly laid out in the rules. If someone hikes barrels to the sideline and then launches a fuckin rainmaker are you going to wait for another before deciding he plays like a lobby douche? no, once is enough for me. Do we wait for someone to win by 35 twice before telling them to leave?

Its simple, play by the rules and we will all have fun.

So i need to sign up for this showdown garbage to know whether my opponent is doing it? Theyll still be able to know whether I do it though, right?

I am glad that stuff is banned. I wouldn't have known about it if people had not written it down here. Hell I just learn how to fake snap two days ago. (psst......I don't read my manual  )

I think the last second option pitch will get the offense more with the super charge defensive pitch catch going on. I mean you are not going to get the quarterback shooting it out of the butt anymore so I am not worried about the late pitches. You can shift your defense to play aggressive against the option and I know it helps.
