i liked this game when it first came out, but now all this gimmicky shit is getting old and making it nearly unplayable for me. (me and tfan had a nice game without any of that bullshit. i dont think either of us did anything with the sliders and the game went down to the wire)

Have you considered running Fake Punt Pass....this increased distance from the OL to the Passer could be just the time you need to get off an effective pass

Seriously, though. Without all the gimmicky crap this is a very very good version. The gimmicky shit plus some of the god awful line play as mentioned by shell and plasma about the guards and tackles just stepping to the side have made this game nearly impossible to enjoy consistently. Key word for me: consistently...one game maybe you wont experience much but the next you will. Its one thing if your opponent is just finding good blitzes etc, but another animal altogether when you get line slants, jump the snap, pass defense, and crappy blocking going...its miserable.

When it comes to programming I'm not to hip on that shit. With the way the O-Line barely blocks at times can EA come out with a patch to help with the neanderthals on the line?

I totally agree with you. ill play one game and shit is just ridiculous, I will eject the game, throw in another for 1 hour, then back to ncaa. rains, it pours and could make for a long hour of football with this silly blocking stuff.
btw bigry, you and stimpin have made my funny lines of the ndl below. these are the lines I have just laughed out loud and people give me the wtf look.

I dunno, some days your the windshield...some days your the bug. Its just the way it goes, the unpredictability that is college football. You can't experience the same wondrous and gleeful feeling of a perfect umbrella shaped pocket every play/game. Plus, I KNOW you've had your share of success.

Just play the computer on Hiesman, that should prepare you for anything.
