I got it, 1 game, Maryland. FSU. Loser leaves the NDL match!


Huh? Huh? Who REALLY wants to play in the ACC title game?!!

ok, so this will just open up alot of people just asking for stuff. So someone complains in public and gets what they want regardless of the situation? We all made a commitment to play our games and we face the consequences that it comes with. Sure, holmey can give up the sim win and he is ncstate for life. We all have things that come up in life but we all play by the rules whether we like it or not. We let one than why not let all?

Opinions are always welcomed. It is what it is, like it or not. It wasnt done lightly as evidence from my early posts in this thread.

It was my decision.

if holmey admitted it was on him then why question it?


daw had a reasonable complaint.... sure it was voiced in a poor way, and things could have been done earlier to prevent such things from happening.......

but

use it as a lesson.....get ur games in on time.... if someone no-shows on you... let a commish know... if its documented by one of us then i'd imagine that will be in ur corner come sim time...

if you dont get it played/tell a commish someone has no show'd on you.... dont complain if you get a sim loss by way of a coin flip.

by making it public, he was in the wrong but he is rewarded with a sim win and a shot at the ACC title. We are in our 16th season, so shouldn't everyone know by now that the boards is in no way an outlet for complaints. Yes if it was noted earlier and commishes were in the know none of this would have mattered but it was handled completely wrong and thus a coach get awarded while others don't get an equal chance at the acc title. It is what it is, but like I said earlier and like you said, if you don't contact commish privately, you take what is coming to ya.

I think Maryland would have been the one to go to the ACC Championship...because it would have been Maryland/Clemson at 4-1 in the Atlantic with Florida St at 3-2...and then since Maryland beat Clemson, Maryland would have gone.

Could be wrong, but that's what I thought

that sucks that you get screwed by a sim, maybe if you complain about it, you can get your way as well. They had enough time to get the game in and if not, contact the commish in private but it didn't go their way so they vent on the boards and are given the win? If it means keeping his team than so be it, but to have him get a shot at the ACC title when at first he was given a sim loss is outrageous. And once again if it was not made public, it would be a non issue but he put it out there and he gets his way for it?

Is it a crappy situation? Yep. Did Dawgit handle it poorly? yep Was he told he handled poorly? yep Did AJ make the best out of bad situation?Yep

So whats the problem Champ? Its not that the sim was changed but the fact Dawgit put something on the open board that should have been handled privately. So if he complained in private and got his way thats cool, but since it was out in the open forum its not cool. we got it and understand and Dawgit has been told how he needs to handle himself

My point is it sets a percedent and the sim was changed that in fact effected others. If it had no effect on others than so be it. I was just pointing out the fact that others who played every game got screwed out of a chance for a conference title which seems unfair.

AJ is from Florida.

His decision negatively affected VVV.

It all makes sense now.

Let them play a round robin...winner takes all. I see everyone point. First, I was suppose to play Holmey in a cup game (got simmed) he is 1 hard guy to get ahold of. So I see where daw is upset about losing his team. I honestly dont think he cares about the ACC title...but to lose your team on a sim is shitty.
2nd I see where Maryland is pissed....he just told his team they are playing in the ACC title game...then gets a NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND phone call from non other then Mr. AJ himself...and now he has to break it to his team they are going to the tire bowl instead.

It sucks when games get simmed...but it just blows Nasty when it effects 2-3 teams season.
