So I have been absolutely loving the switch to directv so far.
In central Florida we are having like a tsunami all weekend of rain and wouldn't you know it, right before kickoff the tv is out.
I'm getting the 771 message for the last hour or so.
Can I call and complain or can it be fixed or am I SOL?? can't be missing games on Saturday AND Sunday.
Screw you guys and "weather has never been a problem for my directv."
Looks like I'll be heading to the bar to watch football all day, fuckers

All the years of having DirecTV, never had a weather problem. May be it is because I live in the desert, with hardly any rain...
I might not be a good example of problems with weather.

I've had thunderstorms take it offline 2x, and snow 2x...but have had it for 12 years...so that seems pretty good.

To take advantage of the "on Demand" I have to be connected to the internet. Problem is my receiver is upstairs and my router is downstairs, Direct Tv said i could rent one of there wireless products, but can I go somewhere and by the product that is needed instead of renting it?

How new is the install? If it is recent tell them they were supposed to set it up when they installed it and they'll come back and do it for free. If you have whole home dvr they need to set it up anyways. It will screw up your whole home dvr if you try and do it yourself. I would go ahead and buy their wireless connector or have them run a cable to your dvr. I got mine from them and it isn't a rental.
There are couple products you can buy if you dont have WHD and the directv people will tell you which ones they are. I asked about them a while back but don't remember the product numbers now. I've heard the linksys extreme-n wireless gaming adaptor works great.
