You can't not make a prediction then make fun of me for my failed prediction.

it actually wouldnt have been if the guy didnt drop the sure TD and and kicker shank a FG

It's ridiculous is what it is, there's no point in arguing someone who thinks Brees is the 4th best QB, LOL.

Bledsoe was one of the best pure passers this game has ever seen. He put up huge amount of yards and got the Patriots to two Super Bowls. So, by Shel's measuring stick, he might be Top 5. He was also sacked every other throw (largely his own fault courtesy of his own bravery) so he gets Riccio Points.
Can you really say Bledsoe led the patriots to 2 Super Bowls, in 2001 he was injured the second game of the season and that is when Brady stepped in. Bledsoe did play again starting for Brady in the AFC championship game which he won, but then did not play in the super bowl. I still consider him leading the patriots to only one,

Well, now, let's see what Brees does now that every game he plays this season will be the other team's Super Bowl; like every champion. Brady and Manning have gone through it and Rivers' team talks so much shit that every team wants to crush them.
I look forward to seeing what Brees and Mark Sanchez do now they are on teams that are marked. Let's see how the "best" quarterback in the league handles that. We'll see in 23 weeks.

I was actively rooting for Brady to get injured. Bledsoe was my boy. So, virtue of that allegiance, he led them to two.

Well, he is only on pace for 3,000 or so yards so there are your stats. Scintillating national TV performance.

Brees, he only threw for like 230 yards, right? Multiple that by 16. "3,000 or so"

237 x 16 = 3792 thats '4000 or so'

Since we're making horrible, dumb arguments today, I'll submit that he is also on a pace to complete 75% of his passes, throw 0 INts, and go 16-0.
Crown him!!!

Actually, that's still 3,000 or so. You'd be more accurate saying "about 4,000 yards" but what I said is still correct.

I like how when someone else brings up yards and various stats, they are john Clayton. If I do it, I am nuts.

I like how you discount stats, then puff your chest out about Brady's 50 TD season in 2007.
So, that's it, stats mean nothing.
No clue how we're determining who is better now that production seems to be completely off the boards, conveniently.
Brees puts up better numbers, stats are overrated.
Brady puts up better numbers in 2007, LOOK AT THAT!!!

No, you are correct, stats are the best way to determine talent if given a large enough scope, which all quarterbacks mentioned here have. However, every time I bring up a stat, it is hearsay.
The worst part of all of this is I think the Patriots are going to get skewered this Sunday. On top of my love of him, I have to hope it ain't Brady's fault just so I don't have to hear you too.

Brady comes in line after Manning
Its manning then Brady.
Brees needs to have another good year. Don't crown him yet

Well I just had to mention something because its silly to try and predict scores in week one and say it wont be close....was a bit of a homer pick there.
and dont gimme it woulda been this or that if this or that happened.......they didnt execute and the game was a lot closer than your prediction stated is all

Keep in mind, Minnesota was missing some key guys last night.
I think what we're going to see this year is Brees dropping down to the very good QB level, while Aaron Rodgers leaps into the top level of QBs. I know it was just the preseason, but Rodgers was carving up everyone.... dare I say... Manning-esque.
