What him flake out and end up going home during training camp. I love devoting time and energy to college kids. I feel like I should request high school transcripts for all freshmen redshirt candidates.

Side note: How many rounds are in the draft so everyone can know how many more players they are going to be making. I am curious myself.

Mtwasik wrote:Draft will be 17 rounds total, in snake order. Your total number of draft choices will differ, as you will draft until your roster equals 20, as some people have more redshirts from the past four seasons then others.

Just thought about this.. do I have to declare the player as my redshirt pick at the time that I draft them, or could I potentially draft 2-3 guys and after the draft/before the season designate which one gets the redshirt?

Yes you can do that, as long as I have your redshirt by kickoff on Sept 1, as the player has to be a freshman or a redshirt freshman in real life.

And just to clarify, that means a CURRENT RS Freshman, as in, not playing this season. Not a RS Fr., that RSed last season, right?

No, techically, if UNLV redshirted Mike Jones last year, and he's back for his second year at the school, he should be listed as a RS FR on the UNLV roster ... that type of player would fall under the type of player you could count as your redshirt. As long as he's got freshman in his bio basically, RS or not. Make sense?
