I gave Gary Murray $5.75 mil (No. 1 overall pick) and sent him to Short-A. No major league contract needed for him. I lucked out.

If so, I'm not giving any of these guys I drafted bonuses...I don't want a guy on my rookie squad on my 40-man nor do I want to pay him 480K. One guy took my bonus offer last sim, and now he's on my 40-man roster and getting paid 480K...soon to be released I'm thinking.
only if you give him a major league contract.
As he said, that means you gave him a major league contract.

I guess I screwed up somewhere then...didn't realize I offered him a ML contract. Now he's injured for 6 weeks and I can't waive & DFA...tells me to put him on the DL since he's injured. :?

Is there a reason why we do 2 and 3 game series instead of 3 and 4?

I just realized that I dropped the wrong player to the waiver wire it and it was Jesus Melendez. Is there anyway I can get him back?

you can trade now, but cannot trade a guy that is under arbitration as he does not have a contract that is signed.

I'm assuming this also works in OOTP... but if you wanted to trade a guy that is arb eligible, you should be able to tell the other coach his arb amount and his long term contract demands... then just sign him how the other coach wants and trade him right away. Am I wrong here?

He has to be under contract. So, yes you would have to wait until he is signed.
