Re: NFL Thread
as far as i know you're not allowed to even act like you're going forward at the snap, but the spot was more of a problem.LetsGoPeay wrote: I wondered why it wasn't some sort of false start or illegal motion with Roethlisberger like jab stepping up to the center twice. Seems to me that's no different than any other offensive player flinching or simulating the start of the play.

I'll never understand how you can drop 8 in coverage on 3rd and 19 and have a guy get behind your secondary.
That will never make sense to me.

It was close. The instant he moved the ball was snapped so it may have been perfect timing, though accidental on his part.Cnasty wrote:Rewind the TiVo, no idea how they missed the false start on 85

Re: NFL Thread
Good loss by the Ravens.
What a horrible set of offensive playcalling in the second half.
Really? There's 1:30 left to play and you throw two passes 25 yards downfield? How about picking up a couple first downs first?
At least I had the tease with Baltimore at +9.5.
Now, Green Bay +9 and then New England -2.5 tomorrow.

Re: NFL Thread
So, after kickoff of the 2nd half, i get to see up to about 10mins to go in the 3rd quarter. We called out on a run, get done with that run and go on a fire alarm drop. This turned out to be a sprinkler activation so it took time to get the sprinkler system shut down and what not. On the way back from that run we have to go pick up our ladder truck that was left at the scene of an ems call cause everyone went in the squad to the hospital (serious call lots of hands needed). Any we pick up some supplies the squad left at the scene. I jump in the Ladder truck, and roads are snow covered. I take air brake off and start to pull forward and hear a loud pop! FUCK! I just ran over the wheel chaulk. (we have a policy to put one out on every call but noone ever does) The norm is to take a walk around the truck before you leave just to make sure. Well i did this sorta i just didnt look for a wheel chaulk. Outside of rear dual tire is flat, i cant find the metal wheel chaulk. A lady comes out of her house and tells me she seen something fly through the yard. It was the wheel chaulk. Make a long story short drive the truck back to our main station. Get laughed at. (for the record i havent put out a wheel chaulk in over 6yrs) I still have no idea what the Steeler score is. Its a little after 745. I walk in the day room. See the game is over. The score, exchange a few chest bumps with other steeler fans at the station. Needless to say, i havent really seen any of the 2nd half highlights. FML for running over a that damn thing. First time in 13yrs of being here that i fucked a truck up.

At least your team won. Imagine this day if it were not your team.
