FWIW, this is how non-FSU fans will view that logo change.

If no one had mentioned it, I would have never noticed.

It is very odd.

Don't get me wrong, if it was some crazy change that was just a terrible logo, I'd get it. But this is pretty minor stuff.

LSU fans were up in our arms a few years ago over a logo change, I barely noticed.

WSU hasn't changed their logo since they went from a state college to a university and probably never will.

Hell, Wichita State's mascots/logos/nicknames are probably more popular than Wazzou's.

I was hesitant on posting it because I didn't know if it would come off right. I knew I was either going to get some good laughs or be made fun of relentlessly and have to come back and explain myself.

I'm not so sure about that man, it's pretty iconic and well know logo, it's not like ASU or Mizzo changing their look. You don't really seem to see changes hardly at all in the look of the big brands in college athletics. Bama, USC, ND, Michigan, and most that have had success in the past and present might have seen minor tweaks, but this is a major brand and a major change. It looks worse to me every time I look at it .

Obviously the "N" will never change. It won't need to. It's an "N". It stands the test of time. But when you have artistic logos like FSU and the secondary logos below, you have to expect changes will come. As far as merchandising goes, Nebraska recently made a change that nobody really liked. They had planned on no longer selling the script logo but that plan hasn't materialized. Sorry the pics are so big.

There was this beautiful (sarcasm) logo from the 70's:



Then came the most familiar two, followed by the recent change:




The Herbie logo has undergone a lot of changes too, based mainly on weight and a "poorly portrayed image". I like the old version, but you can see why they would change it.



Todays:

I hadn't seen either of the new Nebraska ones, I like the ones before them much better. The new ones feel cartoonish to me, much like the new Noles logo.

If Nebraska had been in the national spotlight for more than a few Taylor Martinez highlights or Bo Peline rants then I might have, and this would be like Nebraska changing the N on the helmet as I see it. Of course my perspective is slanted, so perhaps your right, but I'm still ticked .

in fairness FSU had been an afterthought for quite a while nationally till last season
