It's not a rumor at this point. Cannot believe this
Go to Birmingham then check our legion field. Both are major shitholes

Don't waste your time doing either. The surrounding area of Birmingham is ok. Birmingham proper is awful.

Neal Brown (Kentucky OC) to Troy.
Chad Morris (Clemson OC) to SMU. Dabo will be looking for a job next year.

Thank God. Didn't come close to calling the same style of offense as he did at Texas Tech, would get so conservative it wasn't funny. Our next OC will likely be more of the pro-style variety.

well it was one or the other.

What's not to believe? Plenty of schools have shut down their football programs before. Now with the changes in the rules for the Power 5 schools, there's probably going to be quite a few schools that move down a division or drop football altogether because they can't afford what its going to take to compete. It's an expensive sport and it usually sucks up a very large proportion of a school's athletic budget while operating in the red. Hawaii will probably be the next to drop the sport.

UAB should have never moved up. They've never had fan support. They've never been any good. The program has always been handcuffed by the UA Board. They just aren't going to spend the money to make their facilities competitive with even the lowest tier schools, much less the middle of the pack. This is the most that Birmingham papers have talked about the program in years, maybe ever.

Nah, it was only ever going to be one.

Playing 8 games in 8 weeks and having that game in the middle of it.....our guys said during the bye week that it was the first time they could get out of bed without pain since after that game. They had nothing left in them. Oh well, I think I predicted 5-7 preseason so I was spot on lol
Now, Nebraska and Miami fans.....tell me what I need to know about Tim Beck and James Coley--or if I even want them to be candidates.
I'm hoping for Lincoln Riley of ECU, but those two names have been getting more and more push today, to the point that a reporter in Miami already put out there that Coley is joining the staff

Coley is awesome and a big fan of his play calling style. Would hate to see him go and Kaaya start all over again. You see how well Kaaya developed under him as a true freshman but feel he was the best coordinator we had.
Miami is a mess and they can't fire golden because of the ludicrous extension they have him. Muschamp had the same record and they fired him but he also didn't have as hard a job as golden with the sanctions looming.
Al is a nice guy but way in over his head to bring this type of program back. Maybe keep him as a compliance coordinator but coaching wise he has stuck with his buddy at d coordinator and its cost him.
Hire pelini. At this point 9-3 seasons in Miami they will give him a statue.

Then I think I might prefer him over Riley. I love watching Riley's offense, but with what we have, a guy who runs more of a pro-style offense and is great at developing QBs (w Towles and Barker here) would be better for us.

Tim Beck doesnt deserve to be a co-offensive coordinator at a JV highschool team. So he should fit in well with Kentucky

Disgusting that that guy makes almost $800,000 per year.
